Pros: Clean, good size rooms, excellent beds, good bathrooms, ample parking, Cons: 1)This particular Travelodge is in an area of limited or zero mobile signal. If you can log on to Virgin you might get 30 minutes of WiFi a day. Only repeatable after the same time the following day. 2) Room ‘freshen up’ service is limited to clean towels and bins emptied. On checking in we found a piece of food left on a chair. The bin bags are placed in a manner that means you can’t put stuff in the bin! 3). Their direct phone number is a premium one! I had to phone them. 4) So, on top of charging extra for WiFi, early and late check in or out, room selection, etc. 5) This is not a cheap Travelodge, its location makes it a premium one. Prices are never low. However there are no restaurants etc nearby. So it’s a basic hotel not at a basic price. So has Ryanair bought Travelodge?

My mum and her friend have stayed here for over seven years and have always found the staff in professional and helpful. Lindsay is particularly considerate of each of us with our own specific accommodation needs. And will always help us out with heavy bags and answering our questions. She us an exceptional member of the team

We stayed on the older side of the hotel (the newer wing might be the better bet if you get the choice). Judging by the number of cars in the car park, it’s clearly a popular spot. The décor had a touch of “mystery”—complete with a missing ceiling panel in the hallway—and the faint aroma of “canal boat carpet” drifting in the background. Fortunately, the room had spare pillows, which was handy, as one of ours looked like it had tried its hand at growing mildew. That said, it did the job, and the location was spot-on for us to visit friends in the area.

I just wanted to share that this travel lodge is the most inviting and spotless place I’ve stayed at. The two ladies working the evening shift, Lindsey and Hildie, were incredibly friendly. When I inquired about a way to clean my dirty overalls after a hot, tiring day at work, they assured me it was no issue. I picked them up this morning, and they were fresh and clean, ready for my workday. I’m truly grateful for their help. I hope their managers notice this review and acknowledge their fantastic service. Thanks again!

We had an excellent stay here after visiting family in Winchester before moving on to Norfolk, so a handy location for us. A standard Travelodge room, everything was clean and tidy. Staff helpful. As for noise we were in the part away from the car park and there was no problem. You'll want transport as there are no nearby amenities.

Room was basic but big enough for our travel cot, however the hotel felt very dated, tired, and in need of a good clean. Carpets were dirty, there was mold on the ceiling, and we found a half eaten bag of crisps under the bed. Kettle was dirty too. Only stayed one night as were visiting friends nearby, wouldn't have wanted to stay any longer. Plenty of parking though.

Well maintained hotel, but no local facilities for food and drink. Ideally need transport to stay here.

Reasonable hotel with adequate facilities. Decor on the tired side, but good for a cheap weekend away. No restaurant or cafe, but some local shops nearby

Extremely poor cleaning, very old. Bathroom had mould. Old key style entry for the room. Old carpets. Completely different than the high standards Travelodge. Would not recommend !

For £35 for the night we got what we paid for - a clean bed but a mouldy bathroom with a toilet that didn't flush and a bath that didn't empty. The check in staff in the evening and morning were nice enough and apologised for the toilet issue on check out. Just as a warning if you stay, there was zero phone signal here and there was a charge for WiFi which seems incredibly outdated.
