   Myself and my partner are regular bodies in the Florence, we cannot recommend the place enough. Dan and his staff are so lovely and attentive to everyone who walks through the door. The food! The food is some of the best food I've ever had in this city! Pub grub with class. By all means great place for a pint, but be warned you will experience serious food envy as the food comes out and is served by the very people who cook it! You will be reading a menu by the time you're a few sips into your drink! 10/10

   Lovely pub & restaurant, Sunday Roasts are heavenly and a good size, I had the beef. We had a table booked for 1pm and there was no mention of roasts being sold out like I had seen another review mention. Desserts are a little on the pricier side for the portion size in my opinion, and could do with a couple more options to choose from, but other than this I can’t fault my visit. Will definitely return!

   A lovely set-back pub away from the bustle of the seafront, really beautifully renovated and clean, and plenty of food and drink options. Our host was by himself but managed to cater for a few table covers capably, and our food and drink got to us in good time, and was excellent. Reasonably priced and well worth anytime time, for a quieter (non-sports) pub experience in the area.

   Called in at 12pm on a sunny Sunday in June to see if there were tables free. There were. Staff were excellent - attentive but not pushy. Roast beef was so good - best quality beef we've had in years, really tasty carrots, parsnips and cabbage and gravy spot on. Never been before but will certainly go back again.

   It's not the first time we have been here, but this certainly will not be the last! We have always enjoyed the food here and found the service to be superb, having returned after a recent refurbishment and menu change, we can confirm everything somehow has improved on what was already excellent. The new interior is warm and super inviting. We all had starters and mains. Here is a selection of some of them. What I didn't get a picture of is the steak my wife and mum had. This was one of the finest pieces of steak I've ever tasted and cooked to perfection! This all made sense as whilst we were eating a local butcher delivery arrived and the owner confirmed they are using locally sourced meat and produce. Get yourself along and try this place out.

   Very clean and friendly staff, the service was second to none. Came from London to have a Sunday roast dinner but there were none available at 13:00. Food was great, the burgers were quite filling, the fish was tasty, not greasy, freshly cooked, a bit of a let down on the chips as the portion did not see much. There was more chips with the burgers than the fish. The chicken wings were tasty but it felt as if they were cooked day before, they were dry and rubbery inside and not moist. The salad leaves were not washed properly as there was gritty soil on them.

   Good pub for a Sunday lunch, good food choices on the menu, great beer choices also. The pub itself had a comfortable feel to it, the staff were welcoming and were happy to help with any inquiry. Highly recommended

   Great atmosphere in this tucked away pub. All staff were very friendly and helpful, they were happy to check ingredients with the kitchen staff for us. Plenty of choice for vegan/gluten free. Have already recommended to a friend and looking forward to returning.
