ASDA sold out of date chicken to my grandmother on Wednesday. This is absolutely unacceptable. If the staff at ASDA are incapable of checking dates that could save people's lives then they should be fired and fined. Out of date chicken is absolutely no joke and can cause serious harm to people if they eat it without realizing! Someone could have ended up in the hospital if I hadn't noticed in time. I highly suggest that you check ALL of your edible products before allowing them to stay on shelves as selling them is illegal and can be deadly. Do better!

What an absolute circus at the ASDA Mount Pleasant pizza counter today. The queue more than ten people deep while customers walking away, I walked away too, absolutely pathetic! And of course, in true ASDA Mount Pleasant fashion, the entire counter was being “run” by one staff member who looked so completely out of it you’d think he’d just staggered in after a bender or was high as a kite on something. His pace? Imagine a sloth… then slow it down even more… then somehow slow it again. That’s the level we’re talking about. Brilliant planning from management, really. Peak evening, busiest day, massive queues and they decide, “Yes, perfect time to have exactly one barely-functioning person doing everything.” Genius. Absolute masterclass in how not to run a food counter. beyond a joke, and not even a funny one. If this is what ASDA considers customer service, they may as well close the counter and save everyone the time.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at the Asda pharmacy, and I feel compelled to share it. I arrived at 11:50 AM to collect a prescription for myself and my son. While I was promptly given my own medication, I was told I’d have to wait for my son’s antibiotics—antibiotics that I had already been told to come back for once before. I waited patiently for about 20 minutes, then asked the assistant again if the prescription was ready. She didn’t even look up at me and just said they were “doing something in the back.” I sat back down, and at 12:30—40 minutes later—two staff members came out, put up a sign that the pharmacy was going to lunch, and closed the shutters without any explanation or apology. When I went back up to the counter to say I’d been waiting since before noon, the staff member just rolled her eyes, went into the back, and didn’t come out again. Finally, another staff member told me the pharmacist would do it “now,” and when the pharmacist did come out, she was incredibly rude—flung the prescription at me without eye contact, and just walked off after asking me to confirm the name. I have never encountered such consistently rude service. Basic customer care was completely lacking, and I wasn’t the only one in the queue who noticed how abrupt and dismissive the staff were. It’s simply unacceptable.

The level of customer service at both the pharmacy and the customer service desk is abysmal, the attitude of the staff absolutely stank. They were so miserable and slab faced that it was almost parody and served to remind me why I choose to shop elsewhere.

Visited the store. Went to the cafe. Asked four kids meal whilst the wife took the kids school uniform shopping. Was told I need to prove I have kids. Then when I took the kids to sit and eat in the cafe, was told they have no pizza fish fingers or pasta... this is a supermarket. Bought the kids some sandwiches from the deli counter. Was told I can't eat in the cafe. Well done Asda hull. Well done lady at the cafe. Looking at the previous review about the cafe, may be worth shutting shop or recruiting new staff. Plenty of deserving people who need employment. Now sat in the manchester cafe of which none of the above is a problem.

I do not do my weekly shop here because i find it a bit expensive. The staff are great and always helpful. Sometimes shop for clothes here plus kitchen type items.

The girl behind the counter was perfectly pleasant, however she is being let down by the team who won't help her to fix the coffee machine. It's a while since I've been and managed to get a latte, every time I pop in it's always broken. So come on Asda team, help her out, she's had people being cross with her all day!

Wide selection of goods, however avoid this store early in the morning its like doing an assault course trying to get down the aisles with cages & pallets and workers restocking shelves, plus cleaners. Why all this cannot be done before customers arrive I don't know.

Everything you need under one roof. Recommend using the scan & go handsets to check out as cashiers are much reduced nowadays. Good quality produce. Clean store. Staff nice. Local.
