Really good dinner. We got the platter, which included a really well cooked steak, chicken, sides and salad. The atmosphere was excellent.
My first visit to el Toro, we ordered the chicken strips and the tiger prawns to start. The prawns came out drowned in a bath of watery and flavour lacking garlic butter sauce. For mains we chose the steak platter which included a 6oz cut of the following steaks: Rump Sirloin Ribeye Fillet Each cut not only looked identical, but texture and taste was few and far between. The Artificial grill markings on the steaks couldn't help but remind me of burger king. Don't bother.
A fantastic meal at our favourite restaurant to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. We've been 6 times in the past year and already can't wait to.book again. Fantastic food and brilliant staff, couldn't ask for anything more!
First time I've been here, after many recommendations decide to give it a go Staff friendly helpful and attentive, place had a good vibe about it, as it was busy , always a good sign. We all had starters which were delicious, I then had the ribeye steak,others had sirloin and the lamb, we all commented on how tasty and delicious the food was, after a few drinks and a dessert and irish coffee we all felt full to the brim, an excellent night and an even better meal. Will definitely be returning in the near future. First class.
Such an amazing restaurant. It was very nice, the staff was very friendly, attentive and we really enjoyed the atmosphere in there. The decorations in the place is beautiful and the food is to die for honestly. I'm a kind of person, who doesn't like to try new things too much in restaurants, but I did go out of my comfort zone and absolutely loved it. My partner loved the food too. Such an amazing quality food and I'd say the price was pretty damn good for what we had. Thank you so much and hopefully we will return again when we visit Portsmouth in the future.
Customer service was great. We had the mix grill, they also have a halal option. The food was lovely and we also added a garlic butter sauce. Overall, I was very happy with the service and food was very delicious. Will definitely be going again.
Food was nicely cooked, and good quality produce with good portion size. Staff friendly and very efficient, a little to efficient, sometimes wanting to take your plate before you have finished eating. Drinks very expensive double Gin tonic £12.50
Friendly Staff Great Atmosphere. The steaks were really well cooked and the service was top notch. Highly recommended if you are in the area. As it's on the Main High Street parking isn't as easy as there are lots of parking restrictions in the immediate area. But worth the walk to get here.
While delicious, this place felt like simple delicious home food eaten out in a restaurant. I definitely polished off the nachos, though I felt the paella was missing the crunchy bottom and could use some more flavour.
