Booked a table in September for 1pm 17th December. They forgot to let us know they didn't open till 4. They did honour the booking it was just three of us. Although the guys did their best it was disappointing that there was no atmosphere. We chose them for their extensive menu and were then told we could only choose from three items as they had to call chef in early. It was a celebration birthday meal. If they had let us know we would have changed the time of our meal . Bad management.

Our first visit was as part of a large booking, and I have to say I was blown away by the food. For a booking of around 30, all food was delivered promptly, all perfect temperature, beautifully cooked, and the service was very friendly. Good range of drinks at fair prices, and the venue itself is very well done out. I will definitely be returning!

I haven't put any star rating on the rooms as I didn't stay in the rooms. I just went here as it is a local restaurant to me. The restaurant has great decor and the set menu is very good value. The food and drinks we had were excellent - I've been here twice in the past week and would happily come again and highly recommend to everyone. I had the chicken on one occasion and the bavette steak on the other as my mains. The calamari is fried very nicely but they served it with sweet chilli sauce instead of the advertised lemon aioli. I had the mud pie dessert and it was amazing but so rich I had to share it. I'm very lucky to have this restaurant nearby - it's a gem.

I recently spent a few hours at Carter & Co. sampling their large cocktail menu and wine list. It's a great spot in Southsea for drinks, with a nice, buzzy atmosphere and plenty of comfortable seating options, including an outdoor area. Regarding food, they offer a selection of small plates and larger main courses. We enjoyed a few small plates alongside a fantastic bottle of wine. If you're looking for somewhere a little more special for a catch-up with friends or a date night, Carter & Co. is an excellent choice. The service is friendly, the cocktail and wine list is extensive, and the ambiance is spot-on. I'll definitely be back in the future.

What a gorgeous place to eat. The decor is amazing. Food expensive but good. Monkfish linguine boring, needs more flavour/zing. Cherry Slinger - sweet and delicious. Service was great.

From the Service to the meal, everything was perfect. It was 12 of us, so definitely not an easy table to handle but the staff were very well organized and gave us first class treatment- we were all impressed and already talking about our return!

Would like to give a special mention to Jodie who sorted out our wobbly table without any fuss even when she climbed under the table. Another great member of staff was Joe who could not be any more helpful. Thankyou to all staff for our 1st memorable visit Xx

Sunday dinner for 6. Food was excellent, we all had roast and different meats, i had pork belly which was great. Deserts all good. Bottle of wine good and fair price. Beer over priced which was only negative.
