We went for a friend's wedding. What a beautiful place. The part where the wedding vows took place was tastefully decorated. The wedding reception room was beautiful and the food was delicious and hot. Tables were dressed lovely

Beautiful place to stay. The staff are very accommodating. They are all clearly doing their best, it shows in the service and in the quality of the food. One beautiful human being in particular is Max. Max was running the logistics in the restaurant and the bar and nothing phased him. He works incredibly well under pressure and we all know that working in hospitality can be extremely challenging at times. With Max it's very evident that he is well grounded and very professional. An absolute credit to the team.

Booked online and was advised that night payment would be taken until we checked in. Arrived to find that funds had been taken from my card and I wanted to by by cash. However upgraded are room free of charge. Bit of damage in the room but was clean. Food was very good as was the breakfast.

Sons wedding....generally a great venue, good meal, emaculate rooms and good staff but the bar prices are extortionate and drink choice and quality poor. We had expensive drinks removed from tables when left unattended for the ceremony and when dancing- twice....also mixer (coke) and Boddingtons poorly kept.....Shame.Wedding co-ordinator Max was brilliant and still grafting till the end of the night....give that man a pay rise.

We had a wonderful wedding here and want to say a huge thank you to Beth, who was incredible from start to finish. After two years of planning, nothing was ever too much trouble, and she made everything feel personal and special. The on-the-day coordinator was also fantastic, keeping everything running smoothly (and even saving the day with a cocktail at the end of the aisle!), and the evening team and bar staff the night before were all so kind and helpful. There were a few areas that could be improved β breakfast being served in the reception room meant guests saw the setup early, thereβs no bridal suite for getting ready, and the bar staff on the wedding day seemed quite new and a little overwhelmed, especially with the wine service. That said, the Pavilion Suite was spacious, the food was amazing (with lovely thoughtful touches and great catering for dietary needs), and overall the team worked so hard to make it a magical day. With a few tweaks from management, this venue could be perfect, and weβd still happily recommend it to future couples

Been here for a wedding & i new it was a hotel but didn't realise they do Sunday dinners till my daughter booked it for her birthday. I must say the whole experience was very good the Sunday Dinner i would put in my top 3 of best Sunday dinners which is a massive statement but the food backed it up. They do a 2 course meal for Β£15 or Β£8 for children the menu is amongst my photos but i decided to have the Roast Turkey & was highly delighted with my choice it comes out in a big cooking pot & the 2 slices of Turkey carved off the bone was massive & was the length of my plate the home cooked Yorkshire pudding was brilliant & cooked to perfection the others had the Slow cooked Roast Beef & the had plenty in there very large pot. The vegetables came out in some big bowls to help yourself but the best of a was the gravy its gotta be the best gravy i have ever tasted. The sweet menu had plenty to also choose from & i had the Vanilla Cheesecake It looked immaculate when brought out & time was taking in its presentation with the decorative plate & Vanilla ice cream. There was a slight problem with the bill but was soon rectified by the manager otherwise this restaurant would have got a mark of 5 but that wouldn't put me off going again because the food is exceptional & very reasonably priced.

Great room and price. Yet, neighbours were too loud till 3:20am; number left for night porter was off so no one was available to approach loud neighbours. Result - had 3 hours sleep. In a morning, receptionist only said sorry and appeared reluctact to acknowledge that night services simply weren't available.

When you've arrived at Lazaat in below zero temperatures you don't expect inside the hotel to feel the same. Reception mildly warm, corridor to room freezing (radiator off), room and bathroom freezing (no heating on). What a welcome when you've booked! Dining area freezing so chose a table near radiator that actually was on, other guests saying how cold too. Saving grace for us was Max the lovely and welcoming young man who looked after us when we ordered food and drinks and the actual food which was lovely. Also our bin in our bathroom (room no.7) had previous guest's plaster in it and the toilet seat needed securing as VERY loose and unfortunately no one to report it to when we left early at 6.20.

We recently stayed here for a wedding, on arrival the evening receptionist had already checked us in and charged our card without notice as he/she believed we were a no show, despite calling up prior to the visit to explain we would be very late. This was rectified in the morning after we had checked in as the night porters weren't aware this had happened and didn't have access to the system. On the first morning of our stay the breakfast was very nice and filling but the coffee and 'hot' water for teas wasn't at all hot. the wedding set up was lovely and welcoming, organised well by all of the staff involved who were happy to help with anything needed. Bar staff were great and able to keep up with the fast pace of the bar. Comfy beds , although, on arrival next time I would advise anyone to ask for 2 extra pillows as the ones provided already can be flat. Toilet and showering facilities are very good with an excellent hot shower, definitely needed with these colder days. On the second morning of breakfast, the breakfast area was very understaffed and unorganised, more communication and staff needed on the floor to keep on to of things, food running out quickly and again very tepid water for 'hot drinks'. Overall we would stay here again and really enjoyed our stay.

Ed and Max were absolutely amazing, nothing was too much trouble, they kept my wife and I informed of everything at our wedding and made our day completely stress free. The rooms where spacious and elegant. Food was fantastic, all in all a superb stay and all our family and friends had nothing but nice things to say about the day/night. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of having a wedding in Yorkshire.
