Once again we made the trip from Lee-on-the-Solent for a special treat of Gluten Free Fish & Chips at the Fisherman's Kitchen in Southsea. As usual it was a first class meal that we always look forward to when we make this trip across the water. Hopefully it won't be too long before we make another visit. Thank you all so very much.
The best fish and chips I had while in England. Had the Sunday special. Sorry I had already cut into it before the picture.
A busy Friday night but we found a seat. The server checked that they had the haddock left before completing our order, which was good. They'd run out of curry sauce which I had been looking forward to, our fault for not getting there earlier! The pea and mozzarella fritter was a delight & fish was beautiful. Great portion sizes and they had scraps! Gave us a lovely sized dish full - very happy northerner!
Very clean environment, friendly staff and delicious fish and chips, we have also tried fish cake with curry sauce was amazing. Lady at the till was super friendly, you can see all the member of staff well presented with their clean uniform. Definitely would recommend this place
Excellent food. Had the fish tacos. My wife had gluten free battered haddock. We had battered chilli's and pickles. Original and satisfying. Sensibly prices and excellent service. Would recommended.
Best fish and chips in the area, fresh chips, fish had tasty crispy batter, not spongey and soggy like others.
First time here. Friendly staff. First time trying Cockle popcorn and it taste interestingly good but I haven’t tried it before so I have nothing to compare with. Fried cod was good as well as it’s not greasy and you still taste the fish. There is room for chips to improve though, a bit tasteless.
