We celebrated our wedding reception here in October 2025 thanks to the wonderful new owners and amazing butler whites team. They pulled out all the stops and delivered us the most fantastic day despite the restaurant still being closed and the new owners only finding they had a wedding booked a couple of weeks prior. They promptly met with us and vowed they would would deliver and they more than exceeded our expectations. The day could not have been more perfect. The food was delicious, the venue beautiful, the drinks plentiful and the staff out of this world. i need to point out as well that not only did they deliver this, they did it with no payment as the full balance had been paid a few weeks earlier before the sudden closure. Please everyone give this wonderful team all the support you can. Butler Whites is certainly back to its best, if not even better. We have been since opening and the food, service and ambience were all outstanding. You will not be disappointed.
Our family really enjoyed this restaurant. Delicious food, excellent service. The Sunday roast was delicious. Great kids' menu. The desserts were simply wow. We will definitely be back! Highly recommended!
I had a fantastic experience at Butler Whites. easily one of Hull’s best spots for great food and atmosphere. The menu was creative and everything we ordered was full of flavour and beautifully presented. The industrial-chic setting adds to the charm, making it perfect for both a relaxed meal or a special night out. A special mention to Emme, who made the evening even better with her outstanding service. She was friendly, attentive, and really went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. It’s always great when the service matches the quality of the food, and Emme absolutely nailed it. Can’t wait to come back, highly recommend!
Very quiet and not much atmosphere when we went. That was until a bloke turned up with a speaker and insisted on everyone listening to his cheesy music whilst drinking there. We left soon after.
The food as great as usual but we went there today with 4 kids, the place was not busy at all and yet still took 90 minutes to receive the food we ordered (which made it so challenging with the children). The reason apparently was that we had not ordered starters..(?!). Not an apology, nothing, just a long wait and a bad service.
Nearly 4 hours for a starter, main and dessert which was fully pre-ordered. The desserts were entirely store bought - we had the lovely experience of watching the 1+ hour construction which takes place next to the toilet!
Table of 6 visited for works Christmas meal, everyone was happy with quality, taste and presentation of food. Service was poor, having to flag down waiters for a drinks order as no one checked on the table. At the end of the meal glasses were cleared we had to ask for dessert menu choice was limited, 2 from 6 opted for dessert more would have ordered given a better choice. We also had to ask for coffee as not offered. Staff were friendly and polite but inexperienced
Popped in 6:30pm 26-11-22 for a drink after hearing good things about the place.Lady in red dress made us all uneasy night with her watch watching every 5 minutes and her attitude towards her young waiters was cringing to see. lt was like been back at school really not a good look. I Don't normally put reviews on things but as a parent if my child was working under that lady I would encourage them to find another job. And as a customer who frequently have meals out I will probably not step foot in Butler and White again I'm a firm believe in 1st Impressions and Saturday wasn't good one Wish you good luck in the future you will need it especially with your Front House Greeter....
Booked in after being recommended by a friend. Our meal was absolutely lovely. Would definitely eat here again!
