Wanted to try somewhere different, for breakfast, so we tried The Royal Cafe, we got the special 2 breakfasts £13 It wasn’t the best the quality and just didn’t cut it I’m afraid, one rasher bacon, one sausage-“poor quality” one egg, beans, tomato and mushrooms, Mushrooms where really bad, However £13 for two breakfasts and two cups of tea is cheap as chips. Personally I’d prefer to pay a little more for better quality. On a positive note the guys serving where polite and courteous.

Cute and cozy cafe. Great service and food at affordable prices. The food was prepared on time. We loved the hot chocolate and whipped cream and the chocolate cake and whipped cream. There is a separate menu for kids and an assortment of hot and cold drinks.

Great cafe. I had a cheese and ham panini, which comes with salads, tasted amazing. Close to the station. If I would ever visit Hull again I would go to The Royal Cafe again.

Disappointed with the service went with my partner around dinner time and was not busy. The young male who served us was not friendly and abrupt. Charged us extra for a can but stated they will just swap the tea and coffee for a can. Been before and the owner was lovely sad to see it’s went down hill

Went today with my mum and dad. They've both been before and enjoyed the food. I ordered a wrap meal and it was very nice so I can't rate down the food. However.... And I really hope this is seen by the staff! My dads food came followed a few minutes later by my mums. Around TEN minuite later when my mum and dad had pretty much finished mine arrived. We didn't get an "enjoy your meal" or "can I get you anything else" (I'd have quite liked some mayonnaise had I being given the chance to ask) but no off she went back to the kitchen where we didn't see or hear from her again. There's certain common courtesy traits that are needed in a customer environment such as a cafe. The service I got was terrible. It's only small things that need fixing but those small things such as a please and thank you from staff with be the difference in wether people come back.
