   Let me start from the beginning, we started a fish tank a year ago, all cycled, water tested and already had a few fish in there all happy, bought a few guppies we paid for 5 but only got 4 (happens I guess), I didn’t get her name but it was middle aged woman with brown hair, what an absolute disaster of a person, she was super rude the entire time serving us, I understand asking questions for fish well before making sure they are going to a cycled tank. She was quite literally interrogating us and made us feel very uncomfortable, fast forward all of our fish are still alive and thriving except for guppies bought from them as they all passed away one after another, we got some guppies from Kettering aquatics and they are all happy for over seven months.Every single time I get served by her at the tills she’s always rude and miserable, the rest of the staff is absolutely brilliant, friendly welcoming and super helpful. I’m reluctant to go there just because of this woman.

   I popped into Pets at Home today to get everything ready for bringing home my new puppy, and the experience was genuinely brilliant. I was helped by a lady called Joy, and she was absolutely fantastic. Her knowledge, patience, and enthusiasm made such a difference. She didn’t just point me to products — she helped me understand what I actually needed, offered great advice, and helped me choose toys, accessories, and essentials that were perfect. You can tell she really cares. Nothing was rushed, nothing was pushed, it was just supportive, friendly, and really enjoyable. I left feeling confident and excited — and I honestly can’t wait to go back next week to introduce her to the new puppy! I would highly recommend Pets at Home, and a massive thank you to Joyloads for being such a genuine help. You made the whole experience feel special.

1. TAXED TO DEATH ★★☆☆☆

   Actually went to vets for pets but its the same company but not sure why 3 receptionist are needed. Vets for pets i thought they were very expensive £750 for a tooth extraction and yet castration is about £270 its bills like that are fueling the increase of animals being put down early rather than getting treatment because its cheaper. I will say that every time I go I feel after I've left that they tried to squeeze every penny they can out of me. I also think it's wrong you cannot call round different vets to see if your getting a fair quote or not. You are deliberately blocked from doing that by all of them because they All say they require to be registered with them etc which incurs fees which boils down to your being charged for a quote which is not acceptable. Why can't all vets just give out the price? private human heath care they have it you can just look online and the price is available. Its doesn't matter your size, sex or age its the same price so why is it like this on private animal heathcare except to stop you to see if you can get a better deal elsewhere.

   Great visit to buy supplies before we purchased a rabbit, the deputy manager was great and got all the items needed to start up, also talking to my daughter who is 5 about what she would need to do!!

   I love this place..lovely friendly helpfull staff,nice atmosphere .plenty of choice of products,including specialist pet food,flea,worm treatment,toys ect..Always get our pet food from here..and with vouchers and the stores Vip card you can get dome bargains.

   Not a very large store of Pets at Home. When I visited there were many fish under treatment and it looked like they had just had a delivery. But that doesn't explain why the fish are so diseased. I had a look around the rest of the store, it looked okay though there weren't many pets in stock apart from the fish. Prices expensive in general for accompanying products, dry goods, chemicals, food, etc. I wouldn't buy fish here.
