If you want good local pub with a decent atmosphere and decent service from the bar staff go to the fountain north end rob and cass are decent landlady and landlord respectful decent people also got two gorgeous kind caring barmaids in amy and jazz never loved a pub so much always good atmosphere love from matt who plays pool for the fountain team
Did not eat. Beer cheap as chips and twice as good. The bar lass is super helpful.
A great little pub with friendly bar staff and more than reasonable prices on the drinks they serve. Extremely dog friendly. So much so, that my four legged friend pulls on his lead to go in, even when we are just walking past. The 2 star for food is not really a negative, it is simply because they only do bar snacks. However, these are of good variety and always well stocked. For sports......You can see a screen from all locations except the toilet, and it even has a whole wall dedicated as a screen, at the back of the pub. There is also a screen in the garden. Overall, a great pub with great local people, which has welcomed me and my wife since we moved here some years ago. Recently refurbished, very tastefully and to the character and history of this wonderful little pub.
Nice place for a drink and to watch sports, it wasn't busy as still before midday. Good service by a friendly lady. Nice clean toilet too. Parking is the tricky part but found one on one of the side roads.
