We had our group Christmas meal here and it was fabulous from start to finish. Food was excellent and the service exemplary. From booking with Ben, Kiki dealing with all our menu queries and Molly keeping everyone well hydrated, the whole day was superb. A traditional local pub with modern day attention to service, we will be back soon.
Had a delicious Christmas meal with a large group of friends. The portions were very generous, served hot and good quality. Service was prompt but not rushed. We were very well looked after in a warm & cosy atmosphere. Highly recommend & will definitely be eating here again!
The George in Finchdean were incredible hosts for our Dash Collective Moonlight event. From the first message to the last headtorch leaving the pub, nothing was too much trouble. Communication was spot on, the team were welcoming, and the food was absolutely top tier after a wet and windy night on the trails. A proper local gem with people who genuinely care. We’ll be back.
Have often passed this very scenic place and wondered what it is like. Some great ales. Traditional decor, reasonably priced and thankfully open during a late Sunday afternoon trek when the heavens opened. Made very welcome by the bar staff. Did not stay for food.
Lovely pub. Big garden for kids to run around in. Gluten free beer and fish and chips. Friendly staff and a local feel. Food was a 4/5 and tasty.
Beautiful country pub with lots of different seating areas and large outdoor spaces. Friendly service, solid pub food, very dog and child friendly.
Lovely place to stop and have lunch at after a walk. Had the fish and chips, food was good and it was dog friendly which is always great. Overall a nice experience and I would recommend!
