    My wife and I stopped for lunch a week ago and were very disappointed in the food. I ordered Venison pie which contained very little venison which was tough and chewy pie consisted mainly vegetables very expensive for poor quality . My wife had fish pie which was excellent. But overall cost was expensive particularly for a very poor quality venison pie

    Had a wonderful stay at the Horse and Groom on our way to a Goodwood event. The facilities, staff and dining were all exceptional, the only disappointment was that we had such a quick turnaround and couldn’t enjoy it all more fully. My husband and I will certainly be back for a longer stay!

    Superb food, drinks, hospitality and rooms - Highly recommended. Adam, Dan & their team ensured we had a very enjoyable stay. Very warm welcome on arrival from Cristina, and from all others throughout our stay. Great meal, even with the majority of the restaurant booked for a party. The team were very helpful accommodating our bikes too. We will be back

    Everything about the Horse and Groom was a 5 star experience. We came upon it while driving and so glad we decided to stop. It is incredibly well decorated, has a garden area with lots of green and the service was great. The food we had so so good: the steak was soft and tender and the Pie of the day so tasty, perfect gravy and mash. They have a kids menu too! Really recommend!!!

    Couldn’t be a better experience and fantastic food!! Absolutely wonderful management, staff, service. From the first call to book, arriving, being seated right through to the end the service couldn’t have been better, could not have been more accommodating or kinder. The food was incredible. The decor and garden excellent all round. Would definitely recommend without any doubt.

    Stayed and ate here with our dog for 2 nights. Firstly the service is second to none - so warm & welcoming. The pub itself is beautiful and quaint, with a lovely atmosphere. Rooms were lovely - huge comfortable beds, nicely decorated and incredibly clean. Food was unbelievable - everything was cooked to perfection and rivalled most high end restaurants in London, but at incredible value (£30 for 3 courses). Also breakfast in the morning was as good, with a great selection of both continental and cooked options. Overall, if you’re looking to stay and/or eat somewhere that’s got incredible service, a warm atmosphere with impeccable food in an area that’s perfect for a weekend away near Chichester, this is the place. We will absolutely be back!

    Popped in during an afternoon walk with friends. A warm welcome from all the staff and an extra welcome for our dogs, including a few doggie treats. Food was lovely, the pie was delicious. Good choice of beers etc. Thank you for looking after us.

    We had a fantastic anniversary weekend at the Horse and Groom. The room was cottage style as expected but still spacious enough, modern and very clean; the bed was also extremely comfortable. The restaurant food, while not cheap, was out of this world and worthy of any top-end restaurant attached to a luxury 5* hotel. This was our second visit as a treat to ourselves and certainly won't be our last!

    Really wonderful food. Very classy, beautifully presented, and delicious. We sat outside and the garden was quiet, pleasant and spacious. Service is not the fastest, as you might expect from a pub, but we weren't waiting too long, and the staff were very polite and friendly and kept us topped up on drinks while the food was prepared.
