Genuinely delightful and well worth a visit. Really lovely, helpful staff serving actually great home made food in generous portions. The vegetable broth was freshly made and tasty, the pulled pork loaded chips was well balanced, yummy and huge - two could split it as a light meal - and you don't want to be full so you've room for pudding. The chocolate orange cake was light, full of flavour and served with warm chocolate sauce - I really wasn't expecting this to be so good. The lemon meringue pie had a crisp buttery base and a great stack of fluffy meringue over the lemon curd. Best motorway cafe I've been to in forever. Strongly recommend stopping by.

This is a hidden jewel in the countryside which has been refurbishished to modern quality but retaining rustic aesthetic. Food is fresh, freshly prepared and quickly served. Very tasty, pleasant staff. Well worth a detour for a bite.

Great spot for breakfast and/or lunch. Welcomed by a smile and shown to a seat. Once you choose your food you go up to counter to order and pay. Host more than happy to keep the β€˜tab’ open so that you can pick your dessert and drinks after main food. Lovely outside space for eating also when the weather allows.

Parking was a nightmare. Food not bad. Fry was missing some good old soda & potato bread

Pretty place and nice food but not pleased overall. My wife and I spent Β£21 on breakfast and drinks including coffee. My wife then went up to order a slice of lemon meringue pie and a cup of hot water and was charged Β£7.50, which we thought was a bit steep. Upon enquiring we were told we’d been charged for the hot water. I can understand charging people for hot water if they are only ordering minimum, but we had a full meal and coffees first. Kind of ruined what would have been a nice experience and will certainly make us reluctant to go back again.

Wasn't wholly Impressed with the food. Vegetable soup bit watery and veg not fully cooked. The wheaten bread with the soup was delicious.

Stayed in The Bothy for one month with my husband and it was absolutely lovely. Margaret and Bill were lovely hosts and I loved the tranquil environment, including visiting the miniature horses every day. The cottage was done up nicely and provided a warm short term living option for us. Loved the rainfall shower as well! The proximity to Hillsborough and Lisburn was perfect as well to do some walking and shopping. We also ate at the deli for breakfast and lunch and both were perfect. If you're looking for a good stack of pancakes then need to try these. Would definitely stay again!
