   We had afternoon tea there yesterday but had not pre booked it. I must say all the staff were amazing and friendly and the food was delicious, the sandwiches were full to the brim and the pastries were light and exquisite! We couldn’t manage the cakes and scones as we were too full so they brought us a couple of boxes so we could take them back to our lodge. We will definitely go back as the main meals also looked amazing. Well done ladies!!

   Supper cafe served a great breakfast and lovely lunches, their cakes however are fantastic and great portion sizes, all homemade. They made me three birthday cakes exactly what I asked for and were delicious. Worth a visit and birthday cakes for special occasions. We were there on holiday wish we had a cafe like this near me. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and helpful.

   The Spotted Duck Tea Room is an absolute gem! We recently visited while staying nearby and were blown away by their amazing cooked breakfast. The food was delicious, perfectly prepared, and truly one of the best we’ve ever had. What made the experience even more special was the wonderful staff. They were so welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. They even brought fresh drinking water for our dog, which was such a thoughtful touch and showed how much they genuinely care about their customers. The warm atmosphere and exceptional service made our visit truly memorable. Whether you're in the area for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, I can't recommend The Spotted Duck enough. You won’t be disappointed! Thank you to everyone at The Spotted Duck for such a fantastic experience—we hope to visit you again one day!

   Cannot recommend this place enough! From booking a table to leaving with boxes of treats - the Spotted Duck is highly recommended. The lovely and friendly team made our afternoon tea experience enjoyable and relaxing. No problem finding with SatNav, plenty of car parking spaces, great communication with regards to adapting for dietary requirements, an abundance of tea and delicious cakes, a calm and quiet environment, indoor and outdoor seating, and we left with a few treats. Very good price for the standard of food and service. Many thanks again, Spotted Duck team.

   Friendly staff. 100% value fur money. Considering they have a market as there’s not much nearby they could increase their prices. Returned twice and will be returning tomorrow for breakfast as a stroll away from Green Meadow lodges. Felt very welcome. We didn’t have lunch but saw others that did including afternoon teas. Great portions. A great find.

   We were a little disappointed. We had afternoon tea but you know when you have an image in your mind of what it will be, this wasn't it. Dainty sandwiches and an attractive and pretty room to eat it in. On arrival you are met with the smell of fried foods from the cooking of the other meals on offer...it's a cafe. The staff were friendly enough and service was quick but it's not an environment however high the wooden ceilings are or the beautiful lodges for rent on the other side of the carpark. There was far too much food and we needed a doggie bag for the rest. The business could save money if they economised on the chunky sandwich bread and the quiche which again was too much. Sorry but it should be traditional and dainty not chunky and smelly.

   Lovely tea room. Offering anything from afternoon tea to lunches, even all day breakfasts. Managed to get a table even though very busy (advise to book in advance). Lovely food,friendly staff. Didn't have room for desert so took some cakes back with us. Definitely worth a visit. Will definitely try the afternoon tea next time

   Very popular, we rung ahead for a table. Greeted warmley, simple menu plenty of choice, even gluten free cake. Service, food and drink excellent value for your money. And given information about the lakes you can walk around. Highly recommend and sure to visit again.
