Went there on Saturday, there were 5 members of staff (maybe not enough). The queue didn't move for 15 minutes, really hard to see why the service was sub optimal, and tables were full of rubbish from previous customers

Only stopped to grab a drink and some croissants but staff were helpful and quick. Was early ish on New Year's day so can't really comment on atmosphere as was very quiet!

I'm not a fan of coffee chains. It appears their policy is to never clear or clean tables, and give you coffee in a cup that's far too big to drink from. This place is the same as the others

I'm not a regular of Costa, I just happened to be in the area with time on my hands. It was 9:20am, and very quiet, so the service was relaxed and there was no queue, although the 2 staff were only half present in the room as they were both also serving people in the drive thru at the same time. The large latte I ordered was both large and latte, although I felt it was lacking in coffee content. I wonder whether a smaller one would have more coffee Vs milk/froth? The seats and tables were clean and comfortable and the background music was relaxing. I made use of the £2 breakfast offer when bought with a hot drink. I was directed to pick one up from the self service bar. This seems a bit naff and not at all friendly to the environment, but obviously enables them to do nearly no good handling, at the cost of jobs and the planet. I also thought the bacon roll was very small. However, as this kind of set up is fairly standard, I can't detract from the trading too much. But, the environmental issues do need to be challenged, hence the 3 star rating. Most of these marks go to the staff as no-one of this is their fault.

Decent enough place however I wasn't impressed by how the staff sit at tables playing with their phones. This takes up valuable customer seating and doesn't look professional. Surely they must have some sort of staffroom for their downtime? (seating is fairly limited in this branch and so table availability should be taken into account)
