Visited on Thursday for lunch in the cafe with my mother and aunt and will definitely be returning. The food was lovely and the staff could not have been more helpful. What a beautiful setting for a lcafe and have to mention Ollie the resident dog. Could not recommend this place more if I tried.

Wonderful cafe nestled away from everything, ponds to go fishing in and surrounding woodland to go walking in & after you have done all that you will want a bite to eat and a refreshing drink. We were served by a wonderful young lady called Olivia, very helpful and smiled a lot, nothing was a problem for her & to be honest everyone who worked there looked happy to be at work, I counted 8 staff, all busy as it was lunch time. Highly recommended get there early as it looks like the sort of place that’s very popular with the locals

Loved this cafe after a long trail run in the local area. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and lovely food, what more could you want? I had a bacon roll, a sausage roll and some cake to take home for later. All great quality and the coffee was also really good! Indoor and outdoor seating, large car park and toilets all available. Some lovely walks as well if you’re not into your running. Based on my experience I would totally recommend and will be going back!

My husband and I visited here on Sat. It's a beautiful place to unwind either for lunch or just a drink. I can't comment on the meals as we only had a coffee and a bun, which was lovely, a bit expensive but worth the ambience of the place. There are a couple of nice walks around the area also.

Visited the cafe while on a walk. Hidden away in a wood but well advertised locally. Food looked lovely and it was very popular. The only problem was Cash Only which we will remember for our next visit!

Enjoyed after a short walk. Fantastic food, good value, slight delay in service due to them being busy but we were advised of that before ordering so no real problem. Will certainly visit again.

Tucked away off a quiet country lane with fishing lakes on site. Pleasant area to walk around but can get very muddy. The cafe has indoor and outdoor seating looking over the lakes. There's a good range of savoury light bites and delicious homemade cakes. Hot and cold drinks including alcoholic ones. The staff are all very friendly and efficient. Best to take cash with you as no card payments only bank transfers. Popular spot for walkers, cyclists and anglers.

We just discovered this place for the Puffin trail. It’s a good place with lovely views. The cafe was warm and cosy, and the friendly staff was. It's easy to access by car, not far from the main road. I saw some people around the ponds with their baits, looking fun. The cake and coffee were good. You have to pay cash or bank transfer; they don't take card payments.

Only discovered this place thanks to the Yorkshire Puffin Trail. They've got one of the puffins here between the lakes. There's plenty of parking areas. Lovely wooded countryside. Great little café (plagued by wasps, but they're only pollinators so easy enough to let them be.) which serves fantastic homemade cakes. Yum! The area is very much an angler's/ fisherman's zone with no access around the lakes for the public, as is made abundantly clear by the plethora of (some shouty) signs. But of course, folk being folk, they get word and sign blind and carry on regardless, tsk tsk. I would have liked to walk to the folly by the lake too but no access. Ra rah for the puffin helping me discover more territory!
