Stopped here as we were told it is a nice place for cakes, & I can agree, I had coconut and raspberry jam tart with cream and a hot chocolate to wash it down, Magdalena decided on spiced caramel latte with a gluten free cherry almond cake. Certainly recommend this delightful little place, ample parking polite staff nice and clean

Had a lovely lunch (as always) consisting of the mushroom, pesto & cheddar wrap with salad & crisps. I have never tasted a wrap as good as this, crammed full with ingredients & nice & hot. My friend thoroughly enjoyed her meal. It was her first visit having being recommended by myself. I took home some chocolate fudge cake which was also lovely. It was quite noisy & I found it hard to hear my friend talk sometimes but that is a sure sign of how popular it is by the number of people there. Will be back again soon.

Lovely cafe. Had the best sweet chilli sausage roll by far, my sister had the coronation salad that she really enjoyed and my niece had their wholesome carrot corriander soup that was also very delicious and pretty good portion. Excellent service and pet friendly place.

This was our stop off point on a ten mile circular walk so we were definitely ready for coffee. It was a warm day so lots of people were sitting outside at tables; on reflection it seems strange that the tables didn’t have sunshades but it didn’t seem a problem. We sat inside. Service was pretty quick and the coffee was good; hubby enjoyed his scone. I didn’t have anything to eat but there was an impressive array of cakes by the entrance and sausage rolls etc on the counter.

We had the Christmas afternoon tea. Lovely selection of sandwiches, sausage rolls etc, then cake, scones and buns. Quite full so you may need to book as we did.

Within the grounds of Skidby Mill this lovely cafe serves delicious home cooked food. The quiches are amazing and the selection of cakes just mouth watering. They can be bought to take out too. As I have a passion for scones I couldn't resist trying the date and walnut which was the best I've had, absolutely delicious (and I have eaten a lot of scones). The staff are all very cheerful and friendly too. They really make everyone welcome and keep tables cleared and cleaned. There is seating inside and also in the sunny courtyard outside. It seemed very popular so maybe book ahead. I'll definitely be visiting again soon.

Brilliant place! Adjoining Sails Café is the most resplendent, towering windmill overlooking you in the courtyard. This place is well worth visiting. The 1821 windmill is a Grade 2 listed building and is the last working windmill in East Yorkshire. The windmill wasn't open when I visited though. The council bought the mill in 1969 for £1! After renovations it was opened in 1974 as a working museum. The courtyard acts like a walled garden trapping in the heat, but fortunately the outdoor seating is shaded. There is indoor seating too. The staff are friendly and efficient. There is a fantastic range of homemade cakes. I can heartily recommend the carrot cake. It is juicy, moist, deliciously tasty, one of the best I've had. Good, chunky portion too. Definitely revisiting here. Great setting. Most enjoyable.

I have been a customer of Sails Café for many years and every visit has been faultless. I reserved some tables for my wedding reception and the team were absolutely fantastic as always. They're extremely efficient and very friendly. The food was delicious and the staff did well getting the food out on time as there were lots of us to cater for, all at once. Thank you all for going above and beyond and making my day that bit more special.
