   A five star evening in a five star pub. Eleven of us celebrating my sons 50th birthday at a great venue that is a typical English pub and was a joy to be in. Great food which was hot and plentiful, a variety of beers and the most attentive staff. If you want to impress someone, this is the place to go. I felt apprehensive about booking for eleven never having been before and with family coming from afar, but it could not have been more enjoyable. Many thanks to all staff that sorted the tables and seating arrangements. We are all full of praise. YOU DID US PROUD.

   Friendly attentive staff. I had the stack burger and the wife had chunky chips curry sauce and bread and butter. The home made coleslaw was to die for crisp and crunchy just how it should be. Onion rings cooked to perfection. Not taking anything away from the burger which was lovely. Will definitely be back. Chips and curry were also good.

   Absolutely love this hidden gem in sproatley. Staff are all so lovely, food is perfect for all, and animal friendly. Charity events every year as well as hosting living music every Monday and Saturday. So welcoming to all. And amazing selection of drink (especially gin), highly recommend to anyone
