   The hosts were wonderful. There were a few niggles with our order - not sure if the comments that were added to the online booking were pulled through to the system, and the payment at the end was a bit strange too with a deposit being paid; however everything was rectified for us. Overall we had a wonderful Christmassy get together and will be coming again. Thank you!

   Super friendly staff. Amy looked after us so well. Very helpful and was very patient with us whilst we changed our order. Lovely curries and a bonus naan bread from the manager was a very kind gesture too! Many thanks

   It's always a lovely experience at Sandpiper and yesterday was no exception. We were a large table of 10 people, 2 of whom needed gluten free food. The staff were all amazing friendly and knowledgeable and even though there was a slight mix up with our order when one of our mains had been accidentally put down as a starter this was rectified quickly and the staff were great in sorting this out. Could not ask for better customer service! We always enjoy coming to Sandpiper and this has absolutely made no exception.

   Found this little gem on the way home from Nottingham. Got here just after 11:30am so we ordered a drink and had a look at the menu. After 5-10 minutes we ordered our food. Ready for when the kitchen opened. The pub it’s self. This is a very clean well maintained and pleasant pub. I could not find any negative things to say about its appearance or how clean it was. A really beautiful warm and welcoming pub. Even to the point of having a table for dog treats and water. The staff were very friendly happy and chatty. The chap who served us was really attentive and seemed nothing was too much. This is why I always think good service pays off because his attitude and service made our visit just that little bit better than the already great visit. The food. The food we were waiting for about 20 minutes for. Now you have to understand that the kitchens only opened at 12 so 20 minutes from kitchen opening to food on the table was quite good. The food looked really good. I did think when I saw the fish that it would not fill me tho. Boy was I wrong. The quality of the meals was first class. I could bang on all day about the taste the quality and the portions but to experience what we did you’ll have to go there yourself. The food was without a doubt fantastic I struggled to eat my last few bites but I did as I did not want To leave a crumb on my plate. Having never been here before I can say in the words of Arnold “I’ll be back” Overall a truly perfect experience for both food and service. Thank you thank you thank you thank you

   Although the sandpiper is looking tired in its decor, the service received from the friendly and attentive staff makes up for it. The menu is large with typical pub favourites. The portions are good and the quality is good. Overall a great place to go and enjoy a nice meal with family or friends whilst being well looked after thank you,

   Always a friendly service from start to finish. I enjoy the waiters/waitresses enjoy having a friendly chat with you also whilst maintaining the Efficiency throughout the floor with other tables being served! Great menu. Love the kids area indoor and out- always a bonus with a toddler

   Food was average at best. Prices reasonable. After being contacted by the pub after leaving this review, we were offered a complimentary meal . We have returned and had two curries on the curry night. Both were nice meals which come with a complimentary drink. I am impressed that the pub took the time to change our minds about the food they serve, and we will eat there again.

   I'll start with the good points! The server was civil and polite. The food was standard. Bad points: The food took a ridiculously long time to arrive, it took an hour to get our starters and ages for our mains after that. It's not even busy. There were 3 other groups of about 4/5 people in each group. I dread to think how long food would take in peak times. With 4 children with us, that is too long to wait for food without being told there will be a wait. It used to be a 2for1 pub and you could stand the standard of food for that price, but had we known it wasn't anymore we wouldn't have come today. We certainly won't be coming again.

   Although service was a bit slow and another customer had complained about waiting for an hour for food i was happy to chat with my family and when the food came it was very nice indeed - simple but but presented well and portion sizes were good too. My daughter and her friend had the burgers and both loved them - in fact they couldnt manage to finish them off such was the size of them but they both said they were very nice. Will definitely pop back to try the carvery at some point :-)
