   Visited with my two grandsons for lunch and we had a lovely time. Elaine went over and above to look after us. The food was excellent, my oldest grandson 15 had his first mixed grill and he ate the lot. My youngest ate from the kids menu hungry eater because he loves your sausages and gravy boat. There was nothing left on his plate. He also had a dessert from the main menu of apple pie and custard which he really enjoyed. I chose the steak flatbread which was delicious with the yoghurt and mint sauce. My husband and I are regulars here for drinks as we love the atmosphere so we knew it would be great for lunch.    The reason I am giving this low score is because I stayed at the hotel for one night for work. I parked in the car park, entered my details into the machine, and provided my car registration to the staff member who checked me in. I also asked if there was anything else I needed to do regarding parking and was told no. Despite this, I have now received a £100 parking fine in the post. I contacted the hotel directly to complain and was informed that it would be sorted, but I am confused as to what I did wrong, as I followed all the instructions given to me. I just wanted to let other people who might be staying about this issues. But please understand everything else was fine with the pub and people working were really nice.

   Went here on Valentine's day, incredibly vibrant and cozy atmosphere and very kind staff! I was impressed by the wide range of food they had on their menu, especially the meat share platter as seen in the photo, really well cooked food and some of the most delicious beef I've ever eaten before. Quiz nights are also really fun and well organised. Sports are also on TV here

   Stayed in the hotel on Friday with a few friends. The rooms need a bit of TLC however was decent for one night stay. Thought I’d leave a review for the team because they were lovely. I didn’t get names because I’m rubbish, but the Team Leader lad & Manager in a green top working on Friday night were great. Absolutely an asset to the pub and company. Had a great laugh. Games night, beer pong and free pool were exactly what we needed.

   Staff were very friendly as always. Ordered a challenge meal, however it definitely ended up being quantity over quality. It was to be expected to be fair as the price was very reasonable but I would not order this meal again. The fried chicken was beyond dry and the texture of the skewered chicken was like jelly. The fries were okay but the corn was very watery and overall everything lacked in flavour. I have had some nice meals over the years but would not recommended this specific challenge.
