Mains were all tasty and massive portions, our dogs were very pleased with the leftovers we took home. Exceptional value for money too. Will be going back again soon”

“I prebooked for the special Fiesta menu for 11 people on a Wednesday evening at 6pm. Although we had to choose the dishes in advance (understandable to avoid 11 people ordering individual tapas), the communication was very good and the process worked well, including the pre-ordering of drinks at a reduced rate. Although there was a warning that 'no-shows' would be penalised with a £10 per head surcharge, we did not get charged for the one person who could not come, despite only giving 24 hours notice. This was much appreciated, although it may have been different if more people had cancelled, or they were only informed on the night. There was a vegetarian in our party and Ambiente were very accommodating, providing an extra portion of veggie paella and extra tapas dishes, including an excellent plant based 'meatball'. They were very impressed and not made to feel like second class citizens. The food was excellent from beginning to end, starting with the meat platter (separate veggie platter), through the chicken and chorizo paella (separate veggie paella), tapas and dessert course. The dessert 'tapas' were wonderful, with a great choice of tasty sweets. The only way that it could have been improved would have been to have a mini cheese selection or fresh fruit, for those with less of a sweet tooth, but I consider that to be a suggestion for improvement rather than a criticism. The service from Morgan / Morten and his team was exemplary from the moment that we arrived to when we left, making this a great evening. I have previously only been here as a couple or a small group, but I thoroughly recommend Ambiente for a Christmas night out.”

“Lovely pub with a delightful decor. Absolutely incredible choice of beer and snacks. You can roll a dice and get a surprise choice of drink - I got buckfast - very sweet and quite strong. Loved the little chippies and overall vibe.”

“Visited for lunch with a friend and we each had a sandwich - they were lovely and my only constructive critique would be to chuck a bit of foliage on the plate to break up the sea of (delicious) beige. Looking at the menu prior to ordering, there were some lovely vegetarian options but felt that they lacked the same level of thought that went into the meat options - I would love to see some more creativity here. Great drink selection, lovely atmosphere and the bar staff were super friendly and chatty, which really stood out and elevated the whole visit.”

“Very nice food. Quite long waiting time considering we didn’t order anything too exciting but it was fairly busy. Chairs very uncomfortable but atmosphere was nice and food was great! Staff really polite and present but without hovering around which we really appreciated. Definitely will be back, trying to get a booth this time.”

“Had a fantastic meal here tonight for my wife's birthday. She got her hollumi fix with a generous portion on her salad, I had the chicken stroganoff which was excellent. The cocktail was lovely too. Service was spot on, attentive and friendly. All in all a great night out with great food. We will be back!”

“Visited on a Saturday night for a joint birthday meal for my wife and her brother. A deposit was needed in advance as it was a large table but this was taken off the bill. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious as usual. We had starters and mains and then took our own birthday cakes which the staff were more than happy to prepare and light the candles before bringing over to us. They also provided plates and knives for us to eat the cake.”

“Booked a table here for a birthday meal. Menu varied with something for everybody. Average price is around £15 but meals coming out of the kitchen were massive and could easily feed 2 people. We opted for the Beef Stew and Dumplings and the King Prawn Creamy Pasta. Both were delicious and very very filling. There were desserts available but we had nowhere to put them! Wine is a sensible £14 a bottle. Venue itself was warm and clean and modern. When we finished our meal we took our drinks into the very comfortable Lounge. Highly recommended and we will become more frequent visitors.”

“Went in to watch the world cup final, was presented with a table which was covered in great goodies, for example we got some novelty glasses, an England wig. Service was excellent, considering how full the place was, we didn't wait long for a drink at all, 100% suggest you visit this pub. Also, I donated a replica world cup trophy to the pub, the owner was so appreciative that he bought as a bacon butty each and a drink each! Fantastic gesture!”

“My wife and I found ourselves hungry and tired from walking around the marina area which is a revelation to see it so much changed. (I am 81 tears old and was born in the city of Hull and know a lot about the place). We called in at the hotel to see if we could get a light lunch and were greeted warmly and our dog was welcomed as well. The meal was superb and the pizza was by far the best I had ever been served anywhere. The staff were helpful and the place was warm and clean. We were served by a guy called Adam. We will certainly return. Robin Taylor.”

“Have been on a night as it has good rock bands on. Very loud but good atmosphere. Nice staff and also have s function room upstairs for parties. Spacious and gets busy.”

“Great pizzas, kebabs and chicken. Not oily or greasy at all & nice and hot. Plenty of toppings on the pizza and their special kebab is enough for two days. The ususl meal deals are on offer and the staff are very nice too. Have used these in preference to others many times now. It's consistently good every time. Good prices too. Sorry no pics, scoffed it all.”

“I have been into Humber Dock today (06/06/2025), I came in for a bite to eat and a pint. I decided I’ll play it safe and order a cheese burger and chips. Words simply cannot comprehend the fantastic quality of the burger; the freshness, the taste, the presentation and the time and care that went into assembling this simply stupendous quality meal…. I even enjoyed the onions, and I’m the polar opposite of an advocate for onions. I would highly recommend any burger lovers to come to this venue, and try it out. I paid £14.95, I would have paid £30. Satisfied is an understatement. Bar staff were also lovely and welcoming. The music was at a perfect level. Brilliant venue, surprised it wasn’t busier than what it was. Will be returning in the near future and bringing a crowd with me so they can understand how good the food was. Hats off to the chef.”

“We came for a Birthday celabration staff where so acomadating they allocated for our baby and highchair staff where smiling and interacting with the children especially Katia, and our table server Kasia arranged musical instrument and sang and offered to cut our cake for us she also took our drinks orders the cocktails where increadable and flavorsome. Brillant atmosphere where you can help your self to well presented and tasty food to accompany your meats. From salad to freash bread, meatballs and pasta it was lovley . Will definatly come back.”

“I had dinner here with my boyfriend. The food was excellent and the service from most of the staff was great. The servers were kind and attentive. However, one male waiter avoided our table and the tables of other Black women. He was friendly with other customers but standoffish with us and really communicated when he came to our table or the table of the other black women. This left a negative impression despite the otherwise good experience.”
