“Food was delicious, chilli con carne had a bit of heat and very filling. Only slight downside was a very rowdy group on a pub crawl, but one of the bar staff apologised and said they would not be staying long. Otherwise, a very cosy pub, great food and atmosphere”

“I had a phenomenal experience here last week! Popped in for brunch on a Sunday and the service was truly amazing. A lovely guy called Alfie looked after us. I was enquiring about any vegan options and Alfie was so patient and kind, he went out of his way to arrange for the vegetarian breakfast to be made vegan. I asked if it was possible to turn the music down upstairs as I have hearing loss and expected it to be a bit of a hassle, Alfie was an angel and acted like it was no big deal at all and very quickly resolved this. Alfie was just the most friendly, sweet and helpful guy, nothing was too much trouble for him to help us with, and he came across as a really genuine person that takes the time to treat all customers like they're friends, he created such a welcoming vibe and I felt really at ease even though I'm a bit awkward with my hearing! It was the best service I've had in a long time, and if Alfie isn't a manager he definitely deserves a raise, he made us want to come back again and again. The only slight suggestion I have, separate to anything practical, is for the menu to outline vegan options. I used to come in many years ago and they always had vegan options noted on the menu. There wasn't anything stated as vegan on the menu and the veggie breakfast had to be modified rather than being able to order a vegan breakfast. If I hadn't been planning to meet my friend there I might have been put off and assumed vegans weren't really provided for. It would go a long way just having a few options on the menu or noting what is vegan. Simple stuff like a vegan fry up (hash browns, beans, tomatoes, toast with vegan margarine, mushrooms, vegan sausages), avocado on toast, beans on toast. Regardless, we'd definitely be back as it was the best service we've had in Hull! Thanks Alfie. You're a legend.”

“Three of us booked for the Christmas dinner and Bingo on 18 th Dec . It was due to start 6,30 but we arrived around an hour earlier to have a drink . It was not a problem at all , we got seated by Rosie straight away . Heads up to everyone who worked very hard for us all to have a fabulous time . I love gammon , so Ben carved up the gammon for me and there was a choice of sprouts parsnips, roast potatoes ,carrots ,peas and mash .Oh and don't forget the delicious Yorkies all smothered in lovely gravy . I must say everyone worked very hard including Ellie, Paige ,Alex , Rosie ,Ben ... So sorry if I missed anyone out ! Bingo was great fun in between the main course and the lovely Xmas Pud for dessert. Would recommend to anyone as the best carvery and staff in Hull. “Party of four, we had a chicken burger, beef brisket, pizza, and the meat platter, with a side of loaded fries and nachos. Everything was well cooked, the brisket just fell apart in your mouth the burnt ends melted, the chicken burger was crispy and full of flavour. The pizza was nice and thin, if a little burnt on the edges, but it was still great. Staff were good, and in a surprising change, they didn't keep coming to the table disrupting you while eating. Although it was difficult to get their attention when we wanted drinks. It was quiet when we visited but it had a nice chilled atmosphere, the cost was about £35 a person with drinks which we don't think is bad for the food quality. We will definitely be revisiting in the future.”

“This was a superb pub for drinking, with a lively old Tudor interior! The classic pub imagery on the walls and ceilings adds a quirkiness, counter has a compact design. I enjoyed a pint of Mango Cider, sitting at a large table with comfy seats!”

“It was the first time we have done a bottomless brunch and we will definitely be back...it was great. There was 6 of us and from the moment we arrived upto the moment we left, we had great service. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. They were coming round on a regular basis to take our drinks order. All the cocktails we had were really good. Would definitely recommend.”

“We absolutely loves our experience Kim and Alice behind the bar were so helpful and accommodating. Our son has autism and its extremely difficult to go out for a meal when he likes things separately and removing things like cheese salad ...making bacon extra crispy . But they were fantastic and really made our meal fit to our families requirements. It didn't seem a bother at all. It's Sunday half term and despite being very busy we were waiting a very short time for our food and it was cooked perfectly. I have a very happy full family tonight and more exciting my boy who hates leaving the house has asked to come again. Just waiting for our puds which have looked amazing as we saw them at other tables. The young fella clearing tables Jaydan was lovely too he checked on us asking if all was OK and if there was anything we needed. He was good at his job and made sure none of us got burnt as he brought out the very hot plates. Brilliant experience will come again.”

“Had a brilliant mixed grill, my partner ordered an 8oz rump steak both turned up nice and quickly and we're cooked to perfection, served by Zöe and she couldn't do enough for us, kept us updated on our meals and was happy to help even when I forgot to ask that my partners steak not be served on a griddle plate. Best service I have had in a long time and would very happily come again.”

“I love pubs like Manor Farm however, it's great to visit a proper good old pub every now and then. The availability and variety of products both alcoholic and soft drinks are both fab. From what I believe, food is only done at certain times. The staffs attitude towards people with disabilities including Autism is good and they treat people with respect and dignity. When I go in, it's not normally busy, although I've never been on a Friday night or a weekend.”

“Went here on Valentine's day, incredibly vibrant and cozy atmosphere and very kind staff! I was impressed by the wide range of food they had on their menu, especially the meat share platter as seen in the photo, really well cooked food and some of the most delicious beef I've ever eaten before. Quiz nights are also really fun and well organised. Sports are also on TV here”

“A typical Wetherspoons pub with table service available through the mobile app. A lovely building which looked like an old bank. A massive enclosed beer garden at the rear with lots of space and seating. Food and drink up to usual Spoons standard and always great value for money!”

“Great restaurant and bar. Good meeting place and great for a family night out or celebration. Food is good for a steakhouse, with regular vouchers available making it reasonably inexpensive. Friendly service and quite a good atmosphere, no loud music blaring out. Tables, chairs, carpets and decor are a little outdated. Staff are attentive and friendly, no long waits for food. But reasonably impressed and will visit regularly”
