   We thought about trying Apollo after having a refurb and was near by, we didn't book a table but there was availability. At 1st look at menu had plenty of choice, we both went for the smaller mixed grill, but was told none available, so our next choice was surf and turf upgraded to sirloin and steak americano, but no tartare sauce available with the scampi. The food came fairly quickly and the steaks where excellent.

   Served by Tia with food, lovely service and friendly. Food is always nice and worth the price. A nice calm atmosphere through the week for a quiet tea out. Bar staff are always so polite and respectful and happy to help.

   Food was lovely, atmosphere was amazing and had the best service by a girl named Tia. She was always checking up on us and making sure we had everything we needed. She also made sure we didn’t need a refill on our drinks and was the best service I’ve had in a long while. And the refurb looked amazing

   Lovely food.. great service by Thomas... Mr personality. Nice bar staff... not a long wait time, despite it getting busy. Far nicer and friendlier than 3 crowns. Definitely returning here to the Apollo.

   We absolutely loves our experience Kim and Alice behind the bar were so helpful and accommodating. Our son has autism and its extremely difficult to go out for a meal when he likes things separately and removing things like cheese salad ...making bacon extra crispy . But they were fantastic and really made our meal fit to our families requirements. It didn't seem a bother at all. It's Sunday half term and despite being very busy we were waiting a very short time for our food and it was cooked perfectly. I have a very happy full family tonight and more exciting my boy who hates leaving the house has asked to come again. Just waiting for our puds which have looked amazing as we saw them at other tables. The young fella clearing tables Jaydan was lovely too he checked on us asking if all was OK and if there was anything we needed. He was good at his job and made sure none of us got burnt as he brought out the very hot plates. Brilliant experience will come again.

   I visited today for the Christmas meal and I just wanted to give some positive feedback to Jayne, Sophie and the rest of team who pulled out all the stops to make Christmas a day to remember this year. The food, atmosphere and presentation was amazing and the staff made the whole experience enjoyable. Thank you for making our Christmas day that little bit better. I hope to visit again next year during the festive period as the last 2 years we have spent our Christmas day at the Apollo. Thank you for the memories and I wish you all the best for the new year.

   Had a lovely Christmas meal with work friends, 11 of us. Food was lovely and tasty made with fresh vegetables, 3 course meal. Everyone’s meal was served at the same time and food was hot. This was a much better experience than last Christmas and came because of new management. Staff friendly and very helpful. I meant to take photos but was busy eating. Well done Apollo staff

   Staff were friendly, approachable and easy to speak to. Initial delay in service but afterwards no issue at all. Stand out was the food which was really tasty at affordable prices. App problem main issue but really did not affect visit. Simply waited and ordered at the bar and brought the issue to manager's attention so it can be logged and fixed. Assured issues usually resolved same day.
