   Burgers were tasty but it took 3 attempts to get a pint glass without lipstick on it. Several bits of cutlery at the table had chunks of clearly visible dried food on them and some genius had restocked the sauces but couldn't be bothered to unscrew the caps and peel off the foil seals.

   Chicken very small and dry. Had the hunters chicken. Very sparse on the BBQ sauce. Peas were cold. My guest had the lasagne, fish and chips. And the wife had the gammon. All from the 2 for £12.49 menu. So still good value for money. It's a place to visit if you passing. But I would not go out of my way to come here.

   Used this place before with no problems. This time i was dissapointed. The steak and ale pie was very nice, but the chips let the meal down. They were a cross between French Fries and the cheapest bag of frozen chips you can buy......Horrible. My wife had the gammon, but we were told that they didnt have any eggs but could have pinapple instead. My wife doesnt like pinapple so they offered colslaw instead. Unfortunatly that was bland with no taste. We dont normally complain about food but i feel a once nice pub/ restaurant has let its standartd slip.

   Best food in hull by far, we come from out of town to have the fantastic rack of ribs or beef rib, it’s all so amazing we can never get enough of it all.. The boneless chicken wings are out of this world too. Highly recommended to those who haven’t been it’s a must.. it’s so good I have two mains…

   What a lovely pub. Been in several times now since moving to Hull and haven't been disappointed at all on any visit. The food comes out quickly and is cooked spot on. Today we had the 24oz sharing Steak Fondue. Couldn't fault it at all. Hot and the steak was cooked perfectly. I would recommend this pub to anyone to come for food. The staff always look happy and willing to help.

   Very pleasant surroundings, and reasonably priced food (our steak and gammon were very good), particularly during the week. Four hand pulled beers, uncommon in pubs like this.

   Great place. Nice views of the Humber, if you like that kind of thing (I do). Good, quick service. Lots of options on the menu. They had quite a few things missing from the menu which is why it didn't score a 5 for me.

   I've been here a couple of times before and the meal was nice and the service good. However on this occasion I was disgusted with the cleanliness of the glasses and cutlery. First two glasses served was covered in lipstick. I mean thick lipstick. I noticed immediately and told the barstaff to change them. They then served another, again with lipstick on the rim. I asked if there was something wrong with the dishwasher. She said it's not very good. Very matter of fact as this was the norm. She said she'd bring my drinks over. She did and again the glass was filthy. The food arrived and we reached for the cutlery. Absolutely filthy. We cleaned them ourselves. On a plus, food was OK but we were hesitant if we should eat it. Cleanliness is vital in a hospitality environment. I doubt we'll be back
