This is a fantastic hotel. First a couple of very minor things. The triple room is compact to say the least. The shower pressure is fairly weak - other than that the hotel cannot be faulted. The room appeared to have been recently redecorated. The bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of tea, coffee and milk in the room (although the kettle boiled over even when half full). The quality of the breakfast was exceptional - much better than many far more expensive hotels. Service was excellent. Finally the cost of the room was unbelievable (especially if you’re used to London prices) - £135 for a triple room on a Saturday night with breakfast included. An absolute bargain. Not surprisingly this hotel is busy

We had a family wake at the Lodge, part of the hotel. Lovely room, excellent staff couldn’t do enough for us. Catering was fabulous. 5 stars all round. We recommend this venue

Dont know how this is rated 4 stars and some of the reviews make it sound much nicer than it is. It was cheap and I should have realised by the price that it wasn’t going to be up to scratch. The room was very shabby and in need of refurbishment. Been to Blooms in the past which is the restaurant but it’s starting to look tired. I would rather have stayed in a Premier Inn. I won’t be staying here again. My search for somewhere nice to stay when visiting family near Portsmouth continues.

We wish to thank Paul and his team of wonderful staff for their kindness and their support extended to ourselves, family and friends. The hotel is a beautiful, comfortable and relaxed place with it's own unique charm. We used the Garden Room, which was a fitting and gorgeous location in which to celebrate our daughter's life. The location, decor, food and staff have exceeded our expectations. Thank you Paul. X

Lovely! Great location near the high street and coast. We checked in to a lovely hostess and you can tell immediately there was a load of effort put into the decor and layout. The room we checked into was quaint but cosy. Bathroom was a little cold and the shower cubicles are tiny so not ideal if you like a roomy rinse. The breakfast the next day was delicious and they even have a cafe outback on a converted bus with its own independent menu of cakes and pastries. I would highly recommend giving this place a go.

A very nice traditional hotel. Good value for money, with plenty of parking. Attached cafe serves fantastic cream teas using a vintage bus for seating. I will use it again

Very Friendly welcoming staff, clean and comfortable room and a lovely breakfast. Would like to particularly mention Sonia on reception who was brilliant from start to finish and all the breakfast staff who were all helpful and friendly. Rooms would benefit from a long mirror as the mirror above the dressing table is too high if you sit in the chair and you are only small in height also higher sockets for the elderly and disabled are needed as it was quite difficult bending down and reaching the sockets under the table. However these are small points to enhance a lovely , friendly B and B and we would definitely recommend it and would stay again.

Fashionably decored, with clean comfortable rooms. A good breakfast, offering full English or fruit, cereals etc. there’s also a very cute coffee shop behind the hotel. I had a very enjoyable stay and most of all, particularly liked the new gym facilities. The machines are all technogym and the space is very well laid out. I’d come back just to use it, but everything else is fab too!
