“This is an excellent place to stay if visiting the Emsworth area. A 10 minute walk from the train station, it offers beautiful rooms in a secluded, gated area. My room had access to an outdoor space which added to the experience. My host was welcoming and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.”

“Fantastic place, plenty of free parking. A nice airy entrance way with counter to order at and very friendly staff. Plenty of good sized tables and booth areas so it does not feel cramped in any way at all. There is a good selection of options on the menu and reasonably priced for the portion size. We had a small breakfast and pancakes with bacon with a coffee and a hot chocolate. The drinks came out quickly and the food was brought out about 5 mins later, delicious and hot. The cafe is also dog friendly. Overall a great cafe, great food and great staff.”

“Brilliant Food! One of the best meals of my life! We got the scallops from the a la carte menu and combined that with the set menu and were throughly happy with service (Sofia, our server was excellent!) and quality of food as well as the generous serving size. The smoked duck was just delicious! The gazpacho too was a delight- the Skate had been deboned so no messing around with bones! I ordered the Fillet of Hake and was blown away by the sauces. The food ate well separately as well as with different combinations. My brother got the Korean BBQ and the puffed corn on this was a fabulous surprise! The roasted scallops had an amazing peach-chilli zing. And save space for desserts! So delicious and super tasty. The dishes are delightful, imaginative and delicious. Definitely recommend making a booking to eat here.”

A home from home for our beloved pet, allowing flexibility to drop off and pick up around office hours. Georgina is great with the dogs and provides daily exercise in a secure paddock with dog safety in mind at all times.”

“Honestly can't recommend Giorgia enough. She has been walking our Romanian rescue, Dexter for a few months now. Prior to going out with Giorgia, Dexter was a nervous soul who lacked confidence around other dogs and was timid around new people. Since going out with Giorgia we have seen a massive difference in Dexter and he has a genuine bond with Giorgia. Dexter is so much more confident with both dogs and people, can be walked off lead without any issues, has improved social skills with other dogs and is generally a much happier hound! He absolutely loves his walks with Giorgia and we can relax knowing he is being well looked after and having fun! Reasonably priced and very reliable, would definitely recommend!”

“From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we were made to feel welcome and "at home". All of the staff, from Mel in housekeeping to the Manager, are so friendly and helpful, nothing seemed to be too much trouble, at what must be a very difficult time for them. The room was spotless and had everything we needed. The breakfast and the evening meal was excellent, we really couldn't my fault it, and will definitely stay there when next in the area. Well done and thank you to everyone at the Brookfield for making our first taste of normality extra special”

“Truly the best dog hotel in the business. I got a quick response about their availability and soon enough my four legged son had his room booked. When I dropped him off I was welcomed by one of the lovely boys who help look after the dogs. Soon my trip was over and I was happy to get home but sadly I couldn’t say the same about my dog who was not wanting to leave. As soon as we arrived home he hit the deck and passed out from how tired he was the constant attention he had been given there. When you’re the best dog hotel in the world they got a name for you, they don’t call you the greatest dog hotel. They call you Rios retreat”

“Was so nice to have someone so caring and enthusiastic walk my border collie every week day, she would go above and beyond for the dogs she looks after and genuinely cares more about them than anyone I've ever met. I've moved away now but if I move back I wouldn't use anyone else.”

“Felt very poorly yesterday with asthma and cellulitis when I went into the chemist. Lovely lady served me, prescription didn't take too long. Also had a chat with the pharmacist in private about new asthma medication I'm on that he wanted to discuss. Think the service has improved a lot in this chemist, especially as Southbourne is expanding so much.”
