Festive afternoon tea. Table layout not good. No Xmas crackers on the table. Table Dec's moved off for the food. Food was good. I had Gluten free. Service was not too good. When we arrived no one saw to us. Tea & coffee was OK. One hot chocolate & one latte had to be chased up. Upon asking to pay it was all mixed up on who was paying for what we wanted individual bills but that got confused. Had I known about not paying the service charge I would of declined. We even had to ask for the change as one person paid cash before we left. My experience was not good.

We had Sunday lunch in the restaurant and the whole experience was excellent. All of the staff we encountered were smiling, friendly, helpful and efficient. We couldn’t fault them. The restaurant manager (?) went out of her way to find us a suitable table for someone hard of hearing when the restaurant was very busy. We enjoyed the live music and the food was excellent. We will be back, even if it’s just for the Baked Alaska, which was a real triumph. Thank you

A fabulous elegant historic hotel. We had a wonderful three-night stay. The room was opulent and updated. Every amenity you could need. The staff was attentive and helpful. The location was perfect, we walked to dining, shops and even the Hovercraft to Isle of Wight.

Stayed on Saturday night for a reunion with a few old university friends. The hotel has clearly had a refurb since I last stayed and the reception area and bar was much improved. I didn't find the perspex screens around the reception area particularly welcoming. My room was clean and well decorated, the bathroom was small but adequate but the shower was poor and lacked water pressure. What I didn't understand is why electric vehicle chargers have been installed yet never commissioned, the man I spoke to on reception inferred they had been installed for some time but never worked. It's a pretty basic requirement for hotels now and would have been very handy to get me back to London.

I often visit the Queens Hotel to have a coffee (or something stronger). It is such a beautiful venue & the staff are lovely. We recently had afternoon tea there & it was truly fabulous. Myself & my friend both needed the food to be gluten free and as such we were pleasantly surprised at how good everything was. There was more than plenty so we had a take home box each too. The team were friendly and helpful both on the day & when we phoned to discuss gluten free options. A great experience that I would recommend to anyone.

I took a family member here for afternoon tea, and we were both delighted. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and there was a great variety of sandwiches and cakes for an afternoon tea. The restaurant is beautiful, and there was also live music which added to the atmosphere. For the quality of food and drink the price seemed reasonable, and I definitely recommend it and would go again

Went to a Christmas dinner and dance here. Great food, great service and the venue room looked fantastic. Had a great night. DJ was good. Didn't stay overnight so can't tell you what the rooms are like. This is the second year I've gone to a Christmas party here. Great value.

Loved the hotel. Lovely old fashioned style with top service. From reception to breakfast service 100% Very comfortable rooms, with doggy treat bag included, a nice touch. Very comfortable bed and bedding, nice sized room and good heating. Great for car parking. Superb choice for breakfast. Classily decorated period hotel and beautifully decorated for Christmas.

This beautiful hotel has been somewhere we have wanted to stay for some time ! She like all great older ladies has the odd blemish but that doesn’t take away her style and grace . The decor was incredible ! And talking about incredible I have to mention Ann who help us at breakfast this morning , Ann is so warm kind and beyond helpful making us feel so very special . The whole team at the queens can’t do enough to make your stay special and I saw first class customer service everywhere we went .. We will be staying again as one night wasn’t enough of time to check out everything and we want to attended the Sunday live music event as the gardens are stunning . Thank you Queens hotel !

We attended a wedding reception that was held here and booked an extra night to make a weekend of it. The reception was amazing. The hotel grounds are set out with plenty of seating and another bar with a barbecue area. Lovely decor inside the hotel. Staff are friendly and service was excellent. Our room was clean and comfortable. The background music that is played provides a lovely chilled vibe. Very surprised that it's only a 3 star hotel. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay here again.
