Never again Stayed here for 3 nights in October 25 visiting family. Mattress is thin.No side table. No chair.Room was cols and damp.Text to asked to how to put heating on.Response was engineer not due till next week. Really ? Worn and dated look in ensuite.Cheap small threadbare towels. No shower Gel. Breakfast was average but dont ask for poached or scrambled eggs. Cheap ASDA sauces available ,some awful tasting orange drink in fridge. Everyone has to have breakfast between 8 to 8.30. Bumped into a strange woman who lives in the attic.Told me not to let policeman in as he hasn't paid to stay here.lol. Location is really dodgy, its handy for main road but a lot of undesirable's walking up and down the street. The whole place could do with a spruce up .

I came in March for 1 week and the owner opened the door to my room during the night! The next morning he came to ask for an extra charge because I had a girl friend with me in the room! HE WATCHED US DURING THE NIGHT AND DENIED IT THE NEXT MORNING! He said he watched the cameras and that’s how he saw that I had a friend stay overnight! As a young woman I do not recommend this place. Je ne recommande pas du tout du tout si vous voulez vous sentir en sécurité! Passez votre chemin!

Not recommended! Firstly extremely narrow breakfast window, 8.00am to 8.45. This results in huddles of people around a very small breakfast area where you serve yourself cereal and tea and coffee (cooked breakfast and toast is brought to your table). The breakfast itself is not bad, but it is made very clear you need to leave breakfast area 8.45 sharp, so you feel rather rushed and harassed! Secondly room was not clean at all on arrival. My toilet had yellow (what I imagine to be) wee stains both on top of toilet seat and underneath it. Really nasty! I had to purchase disinfectant wipes and scrub toilet seat myself. I left it cleaner than when I arrived. Also room was not serviced properly during my stay. No change of towels seemed to be allowed and room was not cleaned at all during my stay. Bed was at least made though. Also bed sheets did appear clean on arrival and bed was comfortable. Towels clean but not of a great quality. All in all was very disappointed with the quality and cleanliness of this establishment. On my next visit to Southsea will not stay here again.

The room was nice and large and very clean. The bed wasn't the comfiest but it was fresh and warm. There was a TV in the room and the en suite had a shower, toilet and sink. Ideal for a couple of nights away. Breakfast was really good. Full English, toast, cereal, fresh coffee and juice. There were milk and cereal alternatives for allergies too. We were made to feel very welcome and the manager was very friendly and helpful. The only thing that wasn't great was that the walls were pretty thin so we could hear everything. And I mean 'everything'!

We stayed here 2 nights and everything was amazing. The area was nice and quite with loads of small shops and restaurants near by. The beach was within 10 minutes walk. Accomodation it self was very well equiped and extremely clean. The breakfast was a nice touch and it was delicious. The only "negative" thing I can think of is that there wasn't a hairdryer in the room. However, I'm sure if you let the staff know you will need a hairdryer in advance, then they will sort it out. The staff was very friendly and overall I can only recommend others as well, to stay at waverley park lodge.

The place is quite great especially their family room. So many beds available in the room. And the breakfast too was also good. I highly recommend.

It was perfect, very economically priced. Breakfast was great. Beds perfectly comfortable and the host was wonderful. The room was clean and the place although full was also quite at night.

Nice host/ hostess, mainly left to your own devices once your given your Key. Got lucky with a Parking Space just round the corner with a £10 deposit for a Permit to be there. Comfy warm bed and cute little TV with Complimentary tea and Coffee. Breakfast was nice but only 1 Sausage and 1 Slice of bacon but Cereals and Toast included. Worth the visit for 1 night before going to The Isle Of Wight for a week. Thank you Gary and Hazel. Cheers Hazel. Xx
