Stopped in after a walk and sat down while deciding whether to stay for a drink and wait for food. We’d been there less than ten minutes (and had already been told the kitchen was closed until 5pm) when a staff member approached us in a rude, aggressive way and told us we had to leave unless we bought something. The tone was completely unprofessional and made the decision for us. Disappointing, especially given how quiet it was.

A lovely old English hostelry, wood beam, nice fire etc. The room we stayed in was well designed and great shower. Good carpark and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Very pleased with the menu all from locally sourced produce. The freindly staff could not have been more helpful. Highly recommend.

George and I regularly travel up in the evening from Chichester to have a meal and then play darts. We’re always given the warmest of welcomes by everyone at the Selsey Arms. There’s a lovely friendly atmosphere and time for chats as well as with Ruby the dog ! The food is unbelievable ! Made on the premises including the bread. The chocolate Brownies with chocolate sauce and ice cream are unbelievable! I cannot speak highly enough of The Selsey Arms, Nothing is too much trouble and their aims are customers’ satisfaction and feeling welcome . A huge thank you from us both - Chris and George

Great weekend break at the Selsey Arms. Friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent food, we had dinner on one evening and cooked breakfasts - all very good. Rooms are comfortable and well presented. The location was ideal for what we wanted and will be booking again for Goodwood this year. Games available in the bar, Jenga, darts, cards etc. This is a lovely pub providing a comfortable atmosphere making you feel very welcome and would highly recommend!

We booked a table for 2 for a Sunday roast after a cycle in the area & we were so impressed with the quality of the food, the service from start to finish & the general charm of the pub! The chefs happily adapted the dish to my partners allergy & dietary requirements without any issue too. We are so fussy when it comes to roast dinners, this has got to have been the best we’ve ever eaten out, by far. Would highly recommend!

Stopped off for lunch as I pass this place often on the way to the Wittering's but never been before. Greeted warmly by the lady behind the bar which is in very pleasant surroundings with a nice fire going. My wife and I both had the pie of the day Pheasant, Partridge and Pigeon Mash and vegetables. I highly recommend it indeed. All in all a very pleasant lunch in a lovely pup.

Just came for dinner on a Saturday night. The food was well made and didn't take a long time to arrive. Good portions If your looking for a reasonably priced dinner, this is the place to go. Plenty of parking too.

We chose to stay at the Selsey Arms for 3 nights as a base for exploring the local area….and we couldn’t have chosen anywhere better. The owner (Nicola) and her team were very welcoming, the bedrooms comfortable and quiet and the breakfasts totally delicious. We ended up eating there for two evenings and again the quality of the food was superb. We can highly recommend the Selsey Arms as a top value stay and will definitely come again when in the area. Fell in love with the pub dog, Ruby
