   We have just stayed at The Fountain Inn over the Christmas period. The whole experience was Brilliant. Andy, Nicola and their Team provided brilliant service and nothing was too much trouble for them. They pampered our Dog Audrey who was also welcome to and enjoyed a lovely Christmas Dinner in the Dining Room. They offer excellent live music entertainment and there is always something going on! See you next time Andy and Nicola. Highly recommended. Martyn, Penny & Audrey.

   A group of us wanted to have an early Christmas dinner and we found the Fountain Inn, that offered what they called a "Walk-in" Christmas menu or an 'order and pay in advance' offering. We did the "Walk in" menu. When you walk into the bar and restaurant area it looks warm and welcoming, complete with a Christmas tree, decorations and lights, all very welcoming. However deep down the bar and restaurant was grubby and dirty. The 'olde worldy', 'shabby chic' look is just an excuse not to keep a place clean and tidy. The tables were all sticky and the gents toilets absolutely stunk! Reports from the ladies were the same, complete with a blocked toilet!! The service in the restaurant was passable, but not exceptional by any stretch. We booked a table for 4 for 2pm, served at 2:15, with food arriving at 3pm! For a walk in menu we waited a long, long time. When the food did arrive we found it to be dry and tasteless. The turkey was very nice, but the rest was either sitting on the pass for a long time or was a day (or two) old. Very disappointing. Maybe if we had the non walk-in menu the food may have been fresher and better. For a so called walk in menu we waited far to long and the quality was poor. The total bill for 4 people was over £110.00 for a very sub standard lunch in a rather sub standard place. Pity...

   Perfect location, in sight of high speed ferry terminal. Room was clean and functional. Had a lovely evening meal then enjoyed the live entertainment in the bar. Bed was comfy and I slept well. Staff helpful and knowledgeable when we asked about local area. Would be happy to return in the future.

   Really lovely breakfast at The Fountain Inn on holiday, lovely seating outside, food tasted amazing and well cooked, really well priced. But above all I would like to thank the staff, who were really informative and gave recommendations on were to go around the island! I didn't grab any names, but pass on my regards to the two amazing staff members, female from Hounslow and the RNLI volunteer from up north! Definitely the most friendly and welcoming place in Cowes!

   We had an exceptional dining experience here. Mike greeted us with such a friendly manner i felt like I had known him for years. He helped us with our food order, offered suggestions and was attentive. Emily came in a little after and she was also fabulous, I honestly think this is the nicest waiting staff I have ever encountered. The menu was extensive and they were mindful to check for any allergies. To top it off, the beef and ale pie was delicious followed by a toffee and ice cream dessert. The place also had a lovely vibe, we are so glad we dropped in.

   Stayed here with my my dog Fred for work. Decoration in room was a bit tired looking but the room was clean and bed comfortable. Every member of staff I came into contact with was friendly and helpful. They all made a fuss of Fred and he was very pleased with the sausages he was given! Food was good. Can not fault their friendliness and would stay here again.

   We bring my Autistic adult son here for lunch on a few occasions along with his 3 carers. The waitress is lovely and very understanding and patient and the food is always good and always fairly quick arriving. Today my mum and teenage daughter ate with us also , she told me it was the best burger she had eaten. Thank you

   Had a fantastic overnight stay. Staff are friendly and professional. Food was very well presented and tasted fantastic and came out very quick considering the restaurant was full. Perhaps better water pressure in the upper rooms would be nice but everything else was spot on.
