Exactly as described, a Heron store which specialises in frozen foods (others are available). Like a Yorkshire version of Iceland for us more cost conscious folk. This is one of their larger stores...only reason for the loss of star would be no dedicated parking (except for general road parking in the area).

Generally great shop and good staff. Only minor issue, when it comes to reduced items, the new price labels should be put over original barcodes otherwise when they go through the till unless the staff member sees the reduced label and specifically scans that, you are still going to get charged the original price. This happened to me..I'm not going to go back for 73p difference however, I only bought the bread in the first place because it was reduced then I ended up getting charged full price. Which I also say, to staff members if there's no que, there's no need to rush the scanning I think this incident only happens because the lady zoomed through all the items without taking proper notice despite the reduced label clearly being on display.

Recently extended after obtaining the property next door it is the largest Heron store I know. It is bright and airy with a huge selection of products. There are many great value offers some of which appear too good to be true. It is the sort of place you go into for a single item and walk out with a basket full of irresistible bargains. When purse strings are tight it's a shop that is a must place to visit.

Why is it that EVERY Heron shops baskets are absolutley filthy, some even have mould and other things growing in them and if you think i`m kidding, pop in any and have a look at there baskets 0/10 for cleanliness. But still a nice cheap shop to use if you can carry your shopping i n your hands that is.

Clean tidy store. Staff are polite. Noticed a massive price increase on some products of up to 40% for a ready meal that was £1 about a month ago though. Overall there's a pretty good range and it's still got a lot of cheap products. Worth popping in if you're in the area

This store has just reopened having extended its floor space by knocking through to the property next door. It was very well stocked with an excellent range of products. Bright, spacious and clean.

1 star only because some staff are nice but lacks customer services and I know prices have gone up recently but herons have been putting up prices for well over 6months and now the proces have gone up over 30pence for alot of products and yet Asda's and other places have kept prices at same or ebit higher. When will inflation end?..who knows but I think we all are paying way to much for our groceries, fuel and all esentials we need these days. I get understand tho but why do heron and other big food shops after do it and not make it a bit better for us all and keep prices at same or ebit higher but not this high its extortion
