I shop at Sainsburys regularly as the produce is very good quality, the shop is clean and staff are friendly and helpful. Best shop on Newland Ave.
Just Eat had a mess up with my order, and i had nobody on their end to get in touch with. I called up the store and who i can only assume to be the manager answered and was extremely polite and helpful, and contacted them directly himself to sort the order out both the first time, and when the system messed up the second time. Fantastic guy and fantastic service
I ask the girl that works Saturday night time if she would mind helping me pack my bags as iv got bad shoulder and I was left in shock at her nasty attitude by throwing my stuff in bags with aggression and then literally threw my money at me & had to then pick it all up & left half of it as it went under shelving etc... gobsmacked by this girl for just asking for help.. love to go say hello to lovely security man though... he's a breath of fresh air in that hell hole

re: 21/02/ 22 at your newland avenue shop in hull my name is shane macklin and i would like to thank the members of staff at this shop for coming to the assistance of my 86 year old mother who had a fall outside your shop. They sat her down and rang an ambulance and gave her a cup of tea while she waited she had in fact broken her shoulder but is recovering now at home. im sorry i dont know who it was but whoever it was went over and beyond their duty and made her feel safe and comfortable they are a credit to your newland store many thanks indeed i hope you will pass this message on and commend them for good service many thanks indeed Shane Macklin
The staff are friendly but the store is cramed as it looks bigger on the outside than it is on the inside and for a Sainsbury's it's expensive
Friendly staff, good range of products. More food products would be good. Also has self checkout which is convenient.
On Tuesday 28th March at about 4pm-5pm. I stood in the queue with 8 other people waiting to be served. There was two lady's on the counter who rung the bell and asked for 'third till please'. To which I heard the manager tell another shop assistant to 'ignore it. Get the delivery away'. The lady's then rung again at which point the manager came out from behind the wine section and told them 'your just going to have to cope'. Clearly customers come second in this store. To be honest if it wasn't for how embarrassed the lady's were behind the counter the manager would have been putting my shopping back on the shelves. I can appreciate stock comes in and needs to be out. I work for a building company we have to put 6 crates away in the shop from one delivery. But if a customer needs serving that comes first.
