Great shop for school bits, although a little on the pricey side, the lady in store was very friendly.
The staff are friendly and helpful but the products themselves are very pricey. My daughter saw a backpack she wanted so I thought I'd get it as a surprise for her good behaviour with a little online browsing I got the backpack and much more stuff she wanted with a first time buyer discount for the same price as the backpack alone in the store.
The management here is patronising, condescending, arrogant, judgemental, racist, and very unprofessional. Do your self a favour, go get your shopping from Poundland. With the change you'll save, you could literally afford a holiday!
It's a strange place tbh, you're drawn in with all the colours and sparkly things but once in it's just crammed with over priced school stuff that kids love but it's not really worth the money, you're paying for the name. You have to search really hard to find prices on backpacks, it's so tiny and hidden amongst other currencies. Staff are ok, you're left to wander they don't bother you and seem polite when serving customers. They do need to limit private chat though, it's a very small shop and as a customer you can hear everything they are saying.
Some of the cheaper products are fine to keep your little ones happy for an hour or until it breaks, but this place is largely a tat shop full of overpriced toys and stationary. The cost of school essentials like rucksacks and water bottles is just eye-wateringly excessive at Smiggle.
