Very nice. Highly recommend. Come on in and try for yourself/yourselves. You won’t be disappointed. I had the vegetable soup, the chicken curry, apple crumble with custard and a cup of tea. Perfect.

Hello, stayed here for one night to explore the Marina and Old town. Fantastic location for that. Amazing rooms and staff were fantastic. Feel sorry for them with the roadworks near the site, but don't let that put you off. No noise and they have a plan for parking too.

We stayed here visiting Hull city and The Deep for my birthday and our anniversary. Very reasonably priced and in a great location for everything in Hull. Management were excellent at communicating with us prior to arrival due to the ongoing A63 works and parking situation and information was very clear and accurate. Room was beautiful it a little warm but a fan was provided in the room to help with this and the window opened wide for a good breeze. Minimal road noise for being so close to the A63 which was excellent. Bed very comfortable and room very clean. Would definitely stay again when visiting Hull.

Came for Sunday lunch. Had Chicken breast and steak and ale pie. Food is perfect, fresh and home cooked, without any cheating or shortcuts from the chef. Lots of extra gravy. We both struggled to finish it all. Real, uncomplicated, traditional deserts. Very well priced. We will not be using a carvery again whilst Whittington & Cat are able to accommodate us and serve food at this standard and value. Service is impeccable, staff warm, friendly and attentive. Service is efficient, you don't have to wait too long for food or drinks. We will be back as there's much more we want to try from the menu

Great location, fabulously friendly staff. Rooms are huge, high ceilings big windows. He had a lovely view from our room. Fabulous on suite and lovely spacious bed. Great for a couples weekend away.

We had Sunday lunch recently. I'm vegetarian and husband is omnivore so plenty of options for those who eat meat. I tried a vegan pie. Very nice beetroot and butternut squash filling. Plenty of vegetables and meat free gravy for me. Separate gravy boat for hubby who had the steak & ale pie. Always a warm welcome from Jill and staff. Very clean premises throughout. Nicely maintained and comfortable.

Attentive staff. Clean high finish room. Good food. I've stayed a few times and found Jill, her team and the regulars very kind. As a lone traveller this is important to me. I'd made a mix up with my booking and Jill sorted it with no fuss. Thank you. Cindy

Absolutely one of the best places I've ever stayed. Fantastic owner, food is delicious and such a great good old fashioned public house. We're definitely coming here again. Just a very short walk from the town over the foot bridge and it feels like your miles away from the bustle and in a great friendly homely pub xx
