   Highly recommend this guest house. We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary and escape of the grid. It did not disappoint. The welcome we received was friendly. She was lovely and Tom guided the way to the Bothy. The Bothy was so romantic and beautiful with the hot tub. It was very private and had everything you needed. The clear sky at night was epic and you could even see Saturn. The second night we had a beautiful room, it was large and modern and the bed was super comfy. The guest house is immaculate. It was one of the nicest cooked breakfasts we had. The staff can’t do enough for you and they even have games and a honesty bar in the lounge. The swimming pool and spa was amazing. It was so modern and the spa treatments were very good and reasonably priced. Can’t wait to visit again.

   An Exceptional Stay at Burton Lodge I have just enjoyed a three-night stay at Burton Lodge, and it was absolutely wonderful. I travel all over the world and can honestly say this has been one of the best experiences I have had. From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel so welcome. Nichola, who I believe is the owner, was outstanding, warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. Every detail was perfectly thought through, and the entire place has such a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast each morning was superb, freshly cooked, beautifully presented, and served with a smile. I wish I could remember the lovely lady’s name who prepared and served a lovely freshly cooked breakfast, as she was so kind and friendly and made each morning a pleasure. The room was immaculate, spacious, and extremely comfortable, with everything you could possibly need. The grounds, spa and surroundings are peaceful and beautifully maintained, the perfect spot to unwind. Burton Lodge is a true gem, combining luxury, comfort, and heartfelt northern hospitality. I cannot wait to return and would recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for an exceptional stay.

   I stayed here the night before my wedding with my four bridesmaids, 2 cousins and mum in April 2025. They were really helpful with how we picked our rooms and making sure we were together and our needs were met. Because we were up early for the wedding and couldn't make the breakfast they put aside pastries and drinks that we could access early in the morning and take with us. The rooms were clean and beautifully furnished. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you.

   The main wedding party stayed here last month when my daughter got married . What a lovely , clean and comfy place to stay . Very friendly and most accommodating . My little single room as mother of the bride was so cosy I miss it . Breakfast was delicious . You played a big part in making the whole experience special. I can't recommend you enough .    We spent a night at Burton Lodge Guest House over the August Bank holiday weekend and would highly recommend it if you’re visiting the area. The accommodation is very clean, rooms spacious and comfortable and the breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The owners were very accommodating and we enjoyed exclusive use of the pool and sauna twice during our stay. The pool / spa area is modern and immaculate. We ate at a nearby Pizzeria, which was also very good!

   I've been here a week, and they could not have been nicer. Delicious breakfast arranged for me despite having to leave early in the morning (all set with a the fridge in the dining room) The pool area is bliss, meaning I could really relax. Everyone I came into contact with was delightful and nothing was any bother. Sorry to Ian (owner), but John gets the top marks for arranging the booking and making all so easy! So lucky to get another night here: hurrah!
