Really nice overnight stay in this small, yet modern village hotel. Didn't eat at night and breakfast was basic, but fine. Drinks very cheap in the bar. Under £4.50 for a pint these days is unheard of!

Stayed in Hutton Cranswick nearby and visited here a couple of times for drinks. Had a meal there on our last night and it was lovely, the gammon and egg not over cooked , skin on chips were yummy. My partner had steak which he said was one of the best one's he had eaten. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the locals are too. Will revisit another time when over there.

Had a lovely overnight stay at the white horse. Staff were really friendly and our evening meal was really tasty. I can recommend the gammon egg and chips. Rooms were really clean and a comfy bed. The only slight thing was the TV didn't work but that was all. I would definitely stay again.

Came here for lunch and was not disappointed. Really nice atmosphere and friendly service. Food was amazing and to be fair the portions were to big. We had the lasagne and the mushroom hotpot and a portion of hand cooked chips. All the food was really nice and all well cooked. We will definitely be eating here again.

Location is absolutely beautiful and the staff are wonderful and friendly. There’s a complimentary breakfast included which is continental style and taken in the dining area. This is a pub, so expect some noise at night, this dies down pretty quick and the rooms are fairly well sound insulated when the windows aren’t open. Staying in room 2, these are lovely but basic. In line with the pricing (they are excellent value for money). They have a Sky TV and en suite, along with tea/coffee making facilities. Some may find the rooms in need of modernisation, but at this price point, that will be similar in most places. It’s not all singing all dancing, with sleek travel lodge vibes, it’s an inn for the weary traveller. The main point for me is clean and great service which is what this place does :). Highly recommend :)

Went to the pub for Sunday dinner. We were very please with the food especially with the deal they had on. The Sunday roast was fantastic with plenty of beef which was excellently cooked. Good selection of veg (I would have preferred roast parsnip to boiled) which were done to perfection which for me is neither too crunchy nor boiled to death. The Yorkshire pudding was huge and welcome. Top that off with lovely service I can say we would go again. We didn't stay overnight so cannot comment on the rooms but the decor in the pub was comfy and well presented. I particularly like the montage of local images.

Absolutely brilliant! The waitress was so lovely and brilliant with my step son. They are dog friendly and make us feel really welcome. We had the most amazing lunch today! My step son ordered the adults steak pie, he was very happy and nearly finished the lot Even better as it’s our local

We stayed here as a family unit, taking 4 rooms. The rooms were clean and tidy, the staff were friendly and the food was amazing! I had the house special burger with Yorkshire Pudding in it! Delicious! Breakfast was adequate. There was a residents door so you could come and go outside of pub hours if needed. Good WiFi and a car park. The village itself has a spar and the play park on the village Green is within sight of the Pub and offers and great space for youngsters to play.

Food is so well done and service are amazing. You can see they are putting allot of effort into doing this up but are still to do the rooms in the main of the building. We booked last minute though and they accommodated us well also a plus was sky TV. We will definitely stay again for a weekend though in the future. Good place for overnight accommodation on the day they had held a wake were holding the local rugby club for drinks. And people were staying over that were going to a wedding. They only do continental breakfast included in the price but it was really good selection with a fab egg boiler!
