Absolutely lovely food but pretty slow service even when it's fairly quiet; we waited over an hour for starters. A beautiful pub with a lot of charm.
I have been going here for years always excellent food friendly service Went with 3 friends for our Christmas lunch. I took them once before and they were so impressed wanted to go back again and we are already planning our next visit
First visit today on our way back home, lovely welcome excellent beer and the food was brilliant. Would definitely recommend the beef in beer pie, the veg selection was excellent and the Bakewell tart for dessert with ice cream was superb, five stars thank you.
Great food... to me this was very to close to fine dining experinec. The presentation was beautiful and everything was delicious.
Really great food in a quiet Friday lunch. Friendly and helpful staff. The food took a while to come but it was worth the wait. The pastrami was lush and cask been fab.
We visited this small restaurant on a very chilly Saturday night and were impressed with by the unusual choice of food available. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Service was good but not outstanding, with quite acceptable amount of time between ordering and food delivery (just). Pricing was relatively expensive but food was good. Good choice of wine, even low alcohol ones (not to my taste though!)
This is an excellent pub and restaurant. The quality of the beer and the food is outstanding - fresh fish is a speciality and the menu options are varied and creative. Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and the food and drink are very good value for money.
Absolutely fantastic meal at the Bay Horse. The quality of the food was phenomenal and my husband had a dish (mussel and prawn chowder) that he said was the best thing he’d tasted in years. We had 3 courses each and the bill, including drinks, was £70. Brilliant value for excellent food. We’ll be back.
Having eaten all over the world in many wonderful restaurants - I can wholeheartedly say that this is nothing short of perfection. The ambiance and service are first class and as for the food, this knocks spots of many a Michelin starred restaurant, the quality and skill in which dishes are created and presented must be experienced to be appreciated. This is an absolute gem. Thank you.
Definitely would Recommend , Hey Guys try the Fish N Chips it was an absolute Whale of a size , And tasted gorgeous Beer too was lovely
