Myself and a group of friends booked a day here to sit and chat and sew. Sam made us so welcome nothing was too much trouble. The shop is so beautiful it reminds me of a jewellery box, full of beautiful treasures. Patterns, large and small, beautifully curated fabric choices arranged in colours by the metre and fat quarter. Hand dyed embroidery threads and buttons. It really is a jewel. Upstairs the room has so much natural light flowing in from the velux windows it's so nice to sit and sew there with free tea and coffee and a fridge to pop your lunch in. It really was a lovely day and a beautiful place to visit..can't wait to revisit.
I ordered a Creative Grids 6.5" x 12.5" ruler. It was the best price I could find online, and arrived less than 24 hours after I ordered it. Could not ask for more. Plus it nice to support an independent business.
Living away from it all on the Isle of sky, I rely on online shopping for almost all of my sewing and craft supplies.Poppy Patch is one of my two favourite go to shops. Delivery is fast, wonderful supply of fabrics, kits and patterns, etc. Love it and hope to visit the shop one day.

Although shops website states open it is in fact only open to prebooked appointments even though other shops are now open as normal. Since it has been impossible to access this shop since pre October I have now given up trying to. If your looking to shop other fabric stockists in the area are far more accommodating and open to the public .
Love this place. The fabric choices are great but more importantly the staff are really helpful. As a newbie they were really understanding and took the time to talk through my needs. Will be back.
I love the Poppy Patch. I attend a monthly workshop there and our teacher Jan Shepherd is a fantastic teacher, inspiring, patient and so knowledgeable. My fellow quilters in the class are a lovely group of like minded ladies who are so supportive. As for Mary and Sam in the shop, they are so willing to assist and help where they can whether it's choosing new fabrics or when you're feeling a bit stuck with a project. I would certainly recommend Poppy Patch.
