   My husband, daughter, son-in-law, and I had a wonderful time in the cottage, which I consider to be the most attractive in this holiday complex. The second floor of the large cottage is stone and traditional on the outside, yet completely modern, cozy, warm, and homey on the inside. We loved absolutely everything: the silence, the peace, the sounds of nature, and even the smells, so unusual in the city. The rooms have everything you need to feel at ease. We got exactly what we expected: my husband got a sauna and a pool, I got a water garden with apple trees and carp, and the dog got a view from the window. The young couple got the sea just half an hour away. We're very happy and would definitely return if we could.

   Excellant little get away this. Very peaceful village. Pub next door as well. Very secluded place. Peace and quiet. Apartment was clean and tidy. Well appointed. Easy parking next to the apartment. Use of on site pool and hot tub. Pool is not massive but perfect for a couple. The main road leads upto Egton or Goathland. Right across the top of the moors. Pickering is close by. Around £12 for a taxi ride. Would recommend and would use again.

   Just spent the last 3 nights at Mallard Cottage, we couldn't have asked for anything more, the cottage is well kitted out, clean and spacious, it was perfect for the 5 of us, 1 of us needing a downstairs bedroom & bathroom which the cottage provides. A lovely holiday home with a log burning stove, along with lovely Xmas decorations and a nice touch on arrival a box of shortbread & a bottle of wine, thank-you we will no doubt be back

   We only stay here for the leisure facilities but on this occasion we were denied the full use of this. In a world where we have to live with covid-19 and all other leisure providers have everything open why doesn't this place do that. Changing rooms locked, no toilet facilities and the advertised sauna boarded up. If the cottage itself was very clean then we could maybe get a grip on this. However the bath was surrounded by mould and many other areas were just unclean. We will never stay here again.

   Only one word needed - perfect! We stayed in swift cottage for a week in February. The cottage has everything you could need, plenty of cutlery and glasses etc so you never run out while waiting for the dishwasher. Everything is wonderfully clean and cosy. The pool facilities are brilliant, the swimming jet was a particular hit for us and does indeed allow you to swim non-stop ( a bit like a swimming treadmill). John (your host) is so lovely and couldn’t be more helpful. He really cares that you have a great holiday. We are already looking forward to returning.

   Old type cottage floor was bowed but added to the character of the apartment (Granary) a good base to visit other places. Nice swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna have to pay extra for the sauna. Very comfy double bed. Had a nice cake and bottle of wine left on arrival. Some nice walks available, took the dog he had a good time. A nice week break.

   We have stayed here several times over the years, staying in both Owl ( 4 bed ), & Mallard ( 6 bed ). The whole concept is superb. Very comfortable accommodation with fantastic facilities, including a swimming pool, Jacuzzi & sauna. John & Penny the owners are genuinely lovely people & you are greeted when you arrive with a delicious cake & bottle of wine. I cannot praise the accommodation enough. There is a lovely pub at the end of the drive ( literally 50 meters away ) selling good pub grub. The local area is delightful, with sight seeing options limitless.
