I often come into this store as I live close by, so when I want to buy some new makeup products or body care products this is usually where I get them. The store itself I have no complaints about, the staff are lovely and helpful and the layout is very easy to navigate around. However I often notice the same security guard every time I come in seems to follow me around the store. Whether I’m here alone or with friends I seem to spot him stood at the end of the aisle staring. I came here the other day with 2 of my friends and he was standing at the foot of the aisle watching us and didn’t move until we made our way toward the tills. This makes me feel deeply uncomfortable as I simply want to buy the products that I want in peace without being constantly observed as if I am going to shoplift. I have never shoplifted and I never will, I prefer to use my own money that I work hard for to treat myself. I understand that he is doing his job and making sure that no items are stolen however him targeting me whenever I come in and staring at me down every aisle I am in when he knows that I never ever steal anything makes me feel like I am doing something wrong when I am simply just shopping. I have got mild autism so I may appear to look a little odd when I am shopping, often going down aisles multiple times and standing for a while reading the products. Although I know that I am doing absolutely nothing wrong when doing this, I feel like I am doing something wrong due to the what feels like never ending staring. As this store is a little smaller than the larger one in the town centre sometimes I’ll be looking for a product unsure if they will have it in stock here, which leaves me walking slowly and lingering in sections trying to find what I want; every time this happens, out of the corner of my eye I see this same security guard standing… staring… it feels like he is waiting for me to actually steal something so that I can “prove him right” with his ongoing suspicions of me whenever I enter this store. Overall a nice store to shop in but the atmosphere from the security guard makes it uncomfortable if he chooses you as a potential threat.

Appalling pharmacy!! Staff member even admitted that they don’t tell customers their children are entitled to certain counter medication free on the nhs minor ailments scheme, because they want people to buy it instead so they can make more money! Then were deliberately obtuse when I asked for a refund and for the items to go on minor ailments. I’ve raised a formal complaint via a trading standards company.

Argumentative ignorant staff member. Argued re the spelling and pronouciation of my daughter's name , so she showed id ! Then on her checking the medication ( that wasn't even ready , all had been told it was) it stated not to be taken if anaemic. This was over ruled by the same member of staff who. Said. " Oh it ll be all right"

Sadly I’ve changed my review here from 5star to 1 (and trust me if I could give a -10 I would). I have my prescriptions come here every month for my medication. Over the last year this place has become terrible. You stand in a queue for an average of 20-40 minutes just to be seen. The staff quite often leave you standing at the counter while they are busy and don’t even acknowledge you. I’ve come here a few times after receiving a text to say my medication is ready only to Be told no we’ve not even got it, then when I ring my doctor I’m told yes they received it on a certain date (as they check some computer system). Then when I challenge the staff they find it. Today I’ve come stood in a queue for 25 minutes to ask is my medicine ready only to be told no. When I asked why not as you received the prescription on the 5th October and today is the 20th of October? I was told I don’t know when we got it but we are busy! Then I was told we will Do it now and asked to wait. 50 minutes later ( now here 1hour 15 minutes) a really rude pharmacist gave me my medication which was took two weeks to get because I bugged them.

Went to boots today with my parents wanting to treat them, however was faced with a blonde middle aged lady working on the perfume department who was very very rude. Tried to engage in conversation with her and approached her very nicely however she ignored my questions and gestures to make the interaction more enjoyable. I then asked her that I’d like to change the 50ml aftershave for a 100ml but she said she was too busy. Mind you, I had not paid for it literally just wanted the bigger one instead. I waited for her to be available to help because I also wanted to buy a perfume for myself but she rudely told me to go to the till for help. After she rudely said this I went to the till and told the nice young lady that the older lady on the perfume department sent me here for help with perfume. The young lady was confused and agreed that she should not have done that and assisted helpfully and was also confused as to why she sent me here if I wanted to smell perfumes and change a size. She lacked so much self awareness and customer service skills it’s questionable why she works in retail if she can’t be polite. HOWEVER, I do want to say that the young lady in the till was very delightful. And the young gentlemen in the boots pharmacy section was also helpful.

Have used Boots in Kingswood for years, however, gone downhill of late. Prescriptions are never ready on time, always a queue, staff are “busy “ all the time, as for ringing the pharmacy, forget it, the phone isn’t turned on. I have stood in the queue waiting for my perscription and rang the number, no ring tone, just rings out. There is a sign warning people about zero tolerance, I’m guessing that if anyone complains, they will refuse to serve you. The “text you” when its ready service is hit and miss. Overall, the company needs to review how the pharmacy is operating. My opinion is that the store has taken on too many perscription clients and haven’t increased the staffing levels to cope with demand.
