As the saying goes ‘I wouldn’t let my dog sleep in there!! ‘ Our three dogs stayed for one night, when we collected them they smelt horrendous, had to be bathed soon as we got home. Place needs a deep clean

3 stars as I had to , to be able to leave comment. The reviews are not current, apart from 1. With the old owners gone, surely these kennels cant still be allowed to use old 5 star reviews from years ago?

As previous review, kept faith with Primchurch after Paul and Sue left, however left my dog for 6 days after visiting to see how the new owners operate. Everything in order when we visited so felt relatively comfortable. Upon collection of our 10 month old German shepherd my wife never got through the gate and the manager was asking for payment. The dog was reunited with us but was clearly very traumatised, the smell of stale urine and faeces was overwhelming, the bed we supplied had not been used. We also supplied the food which consisted of kibble and raw, but it's anyone's guess as to it been used. I also suspect he had not been out of the kennel for exercise for the duration of the stay.He arrived home very subdued and had diarrhoea for around a week, and only now is he getting back to normal. I had also booked him in for 2 weeks in September along with a week in January along with my son's 2 dogs, I made a personal visit to acorn kennels who now own Primchurch and cancelled the bookings, the person I spoke to did cancel but he never asked why!! It took for me to say "don't you want to know why I'm cancelling" so very unprofessional. Needless to say I will never use Primchurch again.

We received a lovely welcome from Paul & Sue who looked after our two greyhounds Eva & Merlin recently, The facilities are immaculate, as is the high standard of care given, thank you,

Loved it. Friendly and clearly like dogs, rather than it just being a business. Our labrador puppy after 2 nights stay was relaxed and happy when we collected and clearly liked the owners.

Of course, we are very selective of where we would leave our dog. She is a Border Collie, which brings it's own issues such as boredom. Primchurch are brilliant, caring, professional and they quickly created a strong bond with Gwen. Absolutely would not go anywhere else.

Although this is not the doggy Hilton it is a warm, friendly, caring place to leave your much loved pet(s). The team clearly love animals and show real interest in your pet and making sure they get the best care and attention during their stay. We left our 2 dogs for 2 weeks and they showed no signs of stress or anxiety when we picked them up. Happy to fully recommend!
