This cottage is amazing! The views are great, the location is fab, the host is awesome, and I have zero complaints. It has everything you need for a long stay. I loved the digital booklet with all the details to make the most of your trip. We had a blast and will definitely be back!
What a wonderful cottage in a very special spot. We couldn't recommend it enough. The cottage has all those extras that many cottages don't (a pint of milk, salt and paper, washing up liquid etc) which make it much easier to settle in quickly for a short time and the dogs were made very welcome too. We loved it and hope to come back.
We stayed at the cottage over Easter weekend and I must say it was wonderful, relaxing time. The cottage itself has everything you need, very cosy and comfortable with a great attention to details (eg. Dogs' blankets or beautiful coffee cups and bowls sets). Big bonus for us was a fireplace which kids loved! And of course outstanding view. It's situated in a great location, lots of things to do and see in a short drive distance. Children and dogs friendly with a nice size outdoor space. We definitely come back.
We stayed in the Byre Cottage. This was an absolutely perfect holiday base. It felt really well presented, comfortable and homely. We stayed over Christmas and we were toasty warm even without the log burner. Well equipped kitchen. Comfy sofas. Great shower! Fabulous views. No negatives to report at all. Plenty to see and do in the area if you like the outdoors. We really enjoyed our stay.
We had a fabulous stay in the Hayloft over half term with our two young children (4 and 7). The views from the front room are wonderful. The cottage is in a very quiet and rural setting but equally well located for reaching many tourist attractions and towns like Bakewell, Buxton and Matlock. There are some lovely pubs and tearooms and walks nearby. The cottage had everything we needed. We hope to return in the not too distant future, we were sad to leave!
We stayed in Hayloft cottage for 3 nights. Lovely and warm, everything you need, and extremely welcoming. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean. Every detail carefully thought of. The situation is perfect. Just a ten to 15 minute drive to pick up the Mam Tor trail, jMonsal Trail, Bakewell and Buxton, as well as being close to Castleton and Hope Valley. Lots of dog friendly country pubs nearby as well as walks from the door across farmland. Perfect.
We spent 7 nights in Hayloft Cottage which was extremely comfortable and was fitted out to cater for all needs. We took our two dogs. One of which had a very delughtful reaction to the cows. The views are lovely. We had mixed weather so each morning we awoke to a different perspective. The cottage is ideally situated to visit various walks and attractions. Would definitively stay again.

We had a great stay with the family at Byre and Hayloft Cottages which have an amazing view of the surrounding area and are set in a superb location. The cottages are ideal for exploring all the Peak District either by car, foot or bike (they even have bike sheds to store your bikes). Marian was incredibly helpful in our booking and making sure we had all we needed. We will definitely go back.
We had a lovely time staying at Byre Cottage. It's ideally located within a short drive to all the highlights of the Peak District. We used it as a base for our 4 day holiday. The cottage is clean and well-equipped with everything you need. We felt very much at home during our stay. Marian even had all the baby essentials we needed ready for us when we arrived (travel cot, high chair, stair gate). We all loved our home for the long weekend, even our little dog. We will definitely be visiting again!
