   From the nice experience to a complete nightmare due to the checkout staff! We visited Tesco Heath Hayes 22.12.2025, it was late night Christmas shopping and approached the tills as they did the shop closing announcement. We had a trolley full of items and was told we would have to use the self checkout. We asked for help however the assistant said she is by herself and probably wont be able to help us only to advise us to hurry up with the scanning. However many of the items needed authorisation from the staff due to promotions. We feel a complete lack of interest in helping us complete our shop as fast as possible, only to be continually reminded to hurry up otherwise we would have to leave our shopping. We understand it was a late night shop and the tills close at midnight and maybe we would not be able to buy all of our Christmas shopping, but we cannot understand or accept the attitude of the self scan assistant as it was very unprofessional and deeply personal as though we were a naughty child on the street. There were comments about who likes shopping so late, never do this again, why cant you do your shopping earlier. We don't feel we need to explain our private life or circumstances to the staff at Tesco. After we started to scan our items on another scanner to get them through faster we were told we were doing wrong and verbally reprimanded for one of us using the club card. I don't have to explain to the staff with whom i am in a relationship with. The whole experience turned to a very stressful, upsetting and discriminating environment, we stayed calm even though we had to abandon half of our Christmas shopping. The Staff showed no remorse, and instead of saying "Happy Christmas" they made very sour comments "NEXT TIME YOU WILL KNOW WHAT TIME YOU SHOULD SHOP AT TESCO". Hopefully the store manager will read this, checkout 076 store 2214 from receipt however we will be taking this further especially as it would have been recorded

   For context I have all my families club cards saved to my phone for times when they forget there own, but being shouted at “you shouldn’t be sharing your card, I’m going to report you and your going to get in trouble” by an angry old lady working there, while In reality I was just helping my brother with the self checkout is not how you should treat customers.

   The store is fine, but bakery bread products are not to good, there's no granary or wholemeal small or large loaves anymore, and what's with the white crusty bread not in wrappers, so everyone can manhandle the bread I don't get it and it's not crusty all baked bread should be crusty not like a limp lettuce, sort it out please.

   Not happy with the click n collect today the guy wasn't very helpful. Have disability and struggling to get shopping from floor to my car. Normally they put it at boot height for you to easily load in to boot

   Going downhill over the last 6 month, staff turnover is massive, never the same faces or loads of temps in whatever clothes they want to wear. Shelves seem disorganised with trolleys constantly filling the isles. Staff grouped together chatting away to each other when tills were 2 or 3 deep. It just seems like it is very poorly run or being run by a bunch of kids, and it never looks to be any managers on the floor, as constant calls to customer services. Need to take a leaf out of the bigger store in Hednesford.

   Well I went into tesco mobile shop at weekend normally pretty good but when I got there there were 2 gentleman working there not one of the acknowledged us one was.chatting to his mate on mobile phone none of them did not have the courtesy to say be with you shortly after 15 mins we left how rude and unprofessional
