Another store to add to the list of ones to avoid due to Tescos frustrating implementation of everything chilled being stuffed behind a wide opening door instead of a sliding one. Feel sorry for the staff who have to date code, rotate and fill the fridges with these stupid doors impeding progress.
Just popped in to the Rugeley store and I was in a rush but Peter on the self service checkout was amazing. Really friendly and helpful. He sorted a few issues out for me. Great service. Thankyou

I visited 2/9 and used scan as you shop but on arrival at the till my shopping wouldn't load. I went through till 19 at 1606 and the lady was so friendly and helpful. She helped me load my shopping on and helped pack. I wasn't feeling too well and have a hidden disability so she made the experience very smooth and I didn't feel rushed. Amazing customer service, thankyou x
Like to say a big 'thank you' to Jill working on the shop floor who went out of her way last Wednesday (26th October) to find an extra large frozen turkey from out of the warehouse when there weren't any in the freezer.
No power points in cafe. We can do better in the 21st century, Tesco. The apologetic and helpful Tesco staff gave me directions to Morrison's which has power points in their cafe.where i could charge the mobile battery. PS Did my shopping in Morrison's, was gonna go it in Tesco's!
The majority of freezers and fridges today are empty....apparently because of the heat. But the small independent farmshop near me has all it's freezers and fridges working even though they are experiencing the same heat. If you're expecting to go down there today and do a substantial shop.....don't bother. There is no meat, no cheeses, no juices, no salad products and the freezers are 99.9% empty. Even products not kept in a fridge or freezer are practically non-existent today; no bottled mineral water, no fruit, hardly any vegetables.... it is crazy. Tesco seriously need to get their act together because this is the 2nd time this has happened this year; they are becoming a supermarket you don't want to visit in the summer. Fix the problem, or risk losing customers to stores whose cooling systems DO work in all weather's.....After all, you make enough money...
I was served by Martin today and what an absolute pleasure he was. Pleasant and really helpful. However Making 50% of your tills self serve is an absolute joke. It puts additional pressure on your staff and to be honest I don't work there.....so why would I want to scan my own shopping. Get a grip.
An easy to get to, large Tesco on one floor. Tons of free parking (free for 3 hours) and a fuel station on-site. Bright and welcoming with a large selection of goods. The little cafe - where H and I had breakfast - is clean and tidy and offers a good range of food at decent prices. The staff - especially Kerry - is delightful.
