“I called up open minds back in June 2022 and they were so helpful I went in the same day and had a 1-1 with Jonathan (counsellor) and I’ve had lots of counselling over the years and nobody could really figure out what the problem was. I got more from that hour with him than I ever have in the past and knew that’s where I wanted to begin my recovery! When I went in the day after I met 1 of the house managers who I got on with straight away he made me feel totally at ease. The thing I love about open minds is they have all gone through open minds themselves and follow the same 12 step programme I follow today, so they talk from experience not just books. Everybody there was really lovely and I felt at home for the time I was there! I’m still in close contact with a lot of them today and they still help me more than they know! the after care is amazing, anytime I call or text I get a reply within minutes.
