“Great and friendly support groups... helping out in office”
“Staff were lovely, no sure what the negative reviews are about. They were kind, listening, and supportive”
“Health visiting team are brilliant x”
“Absolutely excellent service. I got seen really quickly. I had some therapy here with Meredith in 2023. She was amazing. Always listened. Never pushed me and really helped me going forward. I am due to do a referral for more therapy soon.”
“Tracy, Lisa and Katie have helped us so much in helping our teenager deal with overwhelming emotions. They've been really kind and supportive and given us some really useful information and techniques. I can't thank them enough, they're fantastic”
“Very surprised to read some of the poor comments on this excellent service. I have had 2 kids go through this service and I have honestly never seen such consistently high levels of professionalism, compassion and empathy. I understand that when your child is sick, it is easy to get upset, scared and emotional. These are normal reactions, particularly when mental health is concerned. However my experience is of a high quality service delivered by deeply committed professionals. I’d like to mention in particular Mr K Singh, Ms J Lowndes, Dr. Knott, and all the other practitioners that supported both my kids over the years. Thanks to their support, my kids are in much better places than they would’ve been. It is true that NHS waiting times to access CAMHS are extremely long, and I agree that this aspect of the system could and should be better. However, once families are seen, the quality of care provided should not be overshadowed by wider systemic pressures that are beyond the control of frontline staff. Our experience has been one of genuine care, skill and dedication, and I remain very grateful for the support my family received.”
“I'm quite shocked at some of these reviews. My 9 year old accessed this service and we both found it really helpful. Not sure if I am able to name people, but our case worker was absolutely brilliant and just totally 'got' my daughter! He came up with some strategies to help my daughter copy with her anxiety day to day. I never expected my child to be 'fixed' but she has definitely learnt slowly to deal with her anxiety as part of her personality and is now able to use coping mechanisms with the help of the adults around her.”
“I found the counselling service to be incredibly beneficial, particularly due to Francesca's (my assigned counsellor's) outstanding support. Her empathetic approach and active listening made me feel truly understood and valued. During our sessions, she provided valuable insights and coping strategies that significantly improved my mental well-being. Francesca's ability to create a safe and non-judgmental space allowed me to open up about my concerns more freely. I appreciated how she tailored her methods to suit my needs, which made the sessions feel personalised and effective. If you're looking for understanding and effective guidance, I think you'll find it here.”

“I started therapy with Thriving Young Minds in April, with my first session being the first time I had left the house all year. I’m writing this now having just done my last session in August, and it’s safe to say that I’ve made a huge amount of progress with my anxiety. I worked with Adele, who was really nice and helped me make a scale which I could gradually work on week by week. I agreed to set myself a goal after every session, and was given confidence and reassurance that I could achieve what I set out to do. I also spoke about other issues I’ve had with identity and understanding emotions, and I was given validation on everything that I brought up. I learned that it is okay to be experiencing some of the feelings that I have, which has helped to take a lot off my mind. It’s also worth noting that the general atmosphere and environment of the room I was in during my sessions was lovely and I felt safe at all times. Deciding to go here for therapy turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I’ll be going back to university next month, and for the first time this year I can actually say that I’m not dreading it. I couldn’t be any happier with how this experience has turned out, thank you so much. I can’t recommend this service enough.”
“I've worked with Karen on and off for a number of years (counselling and hypnotherapy) and I can honestly say she's fantastic. I have no hesitation in recommending her services”
