“Just dropped in for one drink, just because we could. Good old fashioned feeling pub with friendly locals, and that’s saying something as I’m from Sunderland and you never know how you might be receiving. It was topped off by watching on the large screen tv the end of the Sunderland v Southampton game where we won 5-0 so all in all an enjoyable visit. We didn’t have any food so cannot comment on this.”

“A lovely charming place with great atmosphere. I had dinner here on Friday night, lots of good vegan options and service was amazing. It's really beautiful inside and they have seating on 2 levels. Live music was playing Friday evening and the band took music requests. Will certainly be back for more, when I'm back in Coventry.”

Food was served in officiant time and hot on arrival and tasted lovely the Christmas menu has a great range and was cooked lovely. Also great range of food for children. “I have been to Lazy Monkey about 4 times now and each time has surpassed my expectations. I have been here alone, with my other half and with our two children and have enjoyed each experience as much as the last. The food is absolutely top quality for flavour, even the naan is mouth watering. The portions are perfect and every mouthful is delicious. The cocktails are superb. Fresh, flavoursome and well priced. The staff are always polite, friendly and professional and make you feel welcome every single time. The venue itself has a lovely, warm vibe and you instantly feel relaxed and the music always pleases. We may not get here as often as we would like but we enjoy every visit and always leave with good memories and wanting to come back.”

“Situated in a very interesting street, it's a very interesting historical pub! Delightful little nooks to sit in. Visit on a Sunday afternoon and the folk club can be heard sharing its ditties from the front room which is a real delight. Food wise pork pie was great and good beers on tap, including Old Peculiar, so always going to get a 10 from me - ticks all the boxes of what a traditional English pub can be.”

“Experience was wonderful as soon as we walked in. Josh came straight to us at the door so no waiting around, showed us to the table and made us feel relaxed, he wasn’t too overbearing throughout our time which we really appreciated. A wonderful staff member. Poppy was also tentative to ensuring our table was cleared efficiently and food was delivered promptly with not too great a wait. Lovely! The atmosphere was enhanced by the live jazz music from Suzie Woods. A very enjoyable dining experience.”

“Came to aroma and had a cajun chicken, roast veg & brie omelette, and a flat white. The food was so delicious! so full of flavour. The salad included red cabbage, a sun dried tomato, olives and a balsamic glaze. The omelette with tons topping & fresh herbs on top. You can tell the food is made with love :) The waiter was really friendly and helpful and there are some really interesting knick-knacks to look at all throughout the decor of the restaurant. I came on a Sunday morning in June and it wasn't busy. You get the feeling you've gone back in time. Glad I chose Aroma for my breakfast whilst in Leamington!”

“Boss man & his lady partner really do shop around for the best prices for their customers. I've found it to be a shop were you can get your essentials cheaper than supermarkets. I enjoy the fact you are not held over a barrel at extortionate pricing for items you need at late hours emergency items. On several occasions I have asked about products and they have supplied them. Good shop, polite staff better than average price.”

“I used to be a regular at the Clarendon a couple of years ago and it was always a decent place for a good pint and interesting food. It was the sort if place that attracted a completely mixed crowd: students, business workers, hipsters, builders and parents. I knew that it had changed hands and was a bit apprehensive. Even more so when I heard it's now owned by the same people who own Yates Wine Lodge and Slug & Lettuce. Don't worry. It's good. They've redecorate, but not removed all the fantastic musician drawings. They've added their own character to the place, but not erased what made it a great place. I've only been at lunchtime, and it wasn't busy, but it still had a good feel. The barman (or manager) I chatted to was very friendly and knowledgeable about the beer. Great range of keg, cask & bottled beer. Interesting food menu. Not too bright. Vintage consoles available. Sport on tv in a separate area and dogs are welcome. If you are offered an upgrade to "angry chips", say yes. Don't ask, just say yes. A wholehearted recommendation. Glad they didn't ruin the place. Now if they could just do something about Yates in Nottingham...”
