βGreat nursery, my boy went here for 3 years and was perfect away from home care as Nursery is perfect size for children to interact with each other and not too big that he could hide! He started a quiet shy boy and left a very confident young man. Owner and staff are great with the kids I would recommend this as a must go and see if you are looking for child care!β
βAwesome school. 10/10. The staff are great.β
βI cannot recommend this nursery enough. Although he only attended for a short time, my son thrived here. We only moved as a Council place became available closer to our home and, I must say, I actually prefer Pride & Joy in many ways (even though I often heard from other parents that local authority centres were "better"). The communication here is excellent, having now experienced another nursery. For me, I loved reading about my son's day via the app - the staff regularly posted updates throughout the day. The fact that naps and meals were recorded (even nappy changes) helped me to plan our evening, knowing if we had a cranky/hungry child coming home or not! Our new nursery doesn't record things like this, or do it very sporadically. Although it used to frustrate me at the time, I now appreciate the fact that drop off and pick up was done at the door - it meant you could (usually) get some uninterrupted 121 time with staff to hear how the day went and to let them know any updates from your end. At our new nursery, it's chaotic with several parents milling about inside and I often don't get to find out how my son's day went - so now I really appreciate how things are managed at Pride & Joy! I feel it's so important to get these updates if you have a very small child or baby and it's your first experience of sending them to nursery - very comforting! The staff were excellent with my son, in particular Dionne - so kind, caring and always finding fun and creative activities for them. My son came on leaps and bounds while attending here, and became even more talkative and confident! My only slight complaint was that the kids (in the baby room) didn't seem to get out into the little garden much but I appreciate this is difficult when there is mixed ages/abilities (ie some kids like my son were older and walking while some were very small babies in arms). I have no doubt my son would have been out and about more were he there long enough to move to the "big room", and the staff did take them out for walks in the buggy, but for me outside play is important so something to consider. Wouldn't hesitate to use this nursery again in future!β

βI put all three of my children through this school. Like any big school it has its downsides, but the education our children received was excellent, and they have come out strong, resilient, tolerant and well-rounded people. If I had any more children I would not hesitate to send them here and I would highly recommend it to anyone whose child is approaching secondary age. My children feel the same way!β
