βIt seems, in reading the rush of recent reviews and some past reviews that club staff are under pressure to get positive reviews for the club. I am sympathetic to this cause, many of the staff are friendly are regularly seen to be doing their best - as such, 5 stars. The mark of a lasting business in customer service is one that will learn from its shortcomings and actively listen to, and act on feedback from customers AND staff. I understand that a business needs money to operate, and I understand that raising member prices is often done reluctantly and by necessity. As other reviewers have mentioned, some things that a set of your members value have been taken away, business decisions that are necessary for continued operation may need better communication with your longstanding members. Consider offering a newsletter or some other practice in relation to club direction and the snagging list. I visit to relax, remove the some of the weight of the world and improve myself. Recently, every time I visit there is something wrong. Many of the machines I was looking to use out of action, the steam room - out of action or overcrowded. I keep to myself, but the changing rooms and steam room / sauna constantly have longstanding members complaining to other members about deteriorating facilities, removal of features (or staff), increase in prices and looking favourably at competing locations who will beat on price. Hard to switch off when this conversation is rampant, and they aren't wrong, I stay out of it, but I see more and more people swing this way as time goes on. The pool is massively valued among customers and of course with such an asset the business is going to leverage it to try and make money where possible, but the penny pinching adds up. Staff are clearly doing their best with what they are given, but sometimes it feels like they are between a rock and a hard place. 5* remains for now, I do hope that while management make the decisions they need to, that they find some way to communicate that with their customers on the direction of the club. Radio silence and stretching things thin is going to go one way. Hopefully the new members these reviews are desperate to encourage will allow the club to reinvest for the benefit of all members..β
βI would highly recommend going to Total Fitness I went today and it was my first time going to gym was super nervous first, but I got showed around by Harry and he was lovely then I had a 1-1 session with Luke for an hour and he was fantastic made me feel so comfortable, it was the best workout ever, I canβt even feel my legs haha and now Iβm really excited to go back to the gym. Iβve signed up now for a 12 month membership I would definitely go to total fitness and if youβre new to the gym donβt be nervous as they treat you will respect and donβt judge you at all!β
βMoved here from Utopia Active, and I have to say although it isn't as new, it is a much more professional environment. Cheap cafe for coffee, tea etc. Immaculately clean toilets, good seating area. Very reasonable price at Β£50 for 10 weeks!!β
βHi, my friend and i have just been to the spa there and also had afternoon tea, it was brilliant, excellent value,, the pool, sauna jacuzzi was really nice , had plenty of time to enjoy it all, then came the afternoon tea, both of us did not drink tea, so we got a cafetiere of coffee each, lovely, we could not fault the sandwiches and cakes , more than enough, Paul and Lauren could not do enough for us, so a very big thank you for everything, we will be back . βVery friendly atmosphere. My husband and I had a warm wax massage and a facial. It was lovely and relaxing in a calming treatment room. There is also a relaxing room to relax whilst awaiting and after your treatment. We then went for a swim, sauna and steam room. Excellent day - thank you.β
βGetting close to finalising our first year of KMA , and our little one has always been confident, but the impact the lessons she took here boosted that confidence and bravery through the roof. Can't recommend KMA enough! Today we got a new belt as well!β

βA superb martial arts centre, well equipped with friendly and welcoming instructors and staff. Highly recommended to adults and children regardless of experience.β
βI've started to train regular at the sports complex and find it has a good range of equipment. Changing rooms are clean as are the toilets (just fix the little water leak). It's a fantastic venue for wheelchair sports basketball and rugby. The large sports hall is kept clean and I believe the rates are reasonable.β
βReally good facilities and really good classes. Not only is that good but the place is tidy and well kept and the staff are really nice and helpful.β
βGood leisure centre and swimming baths. I learned to swim here in 1976. It's been modernised a lot but essentially the same pool.β
βVery friendly and helpful team, facilities are very clean, only issue I had was lack of signage/information about where the lockers and showers as it was my first visit and has two yong children with me, but now I know the next visit will be a lot easier. The swimming lessons for kids are very well organised and instructors very knowledgeable and friendly.β
βNice little pool with a steam and sauna, perfect for a relaxing day after work! Staff are friendly. Showers works just great, thereβs shower gel dispenser if you forgot yours and overall a lovely gym and spa that always makes me feel refreshed after a hard day at work!β
βGo here very often as for the comments on rude staff never had any complaints and the life guards are always checking on everyone yeah changing rooms can smell but it's expected at a poolside I've been in when it's getting cleaned, overall a great experience.β
βThe leisure centre itself is great but the road network surrounding it is not for for purpose. I have just spent 40 minutes queueing for the roundabout from 17.10 to 17.50. My son only had the last 10 minutes of his swimming lesson which started at 17.30. Leeds city council really needs to address this problemβ
